IDK what level you are. At low levels you only have access to really low stat rolls; as you level you get higher rolled stats. If you have no weapon mastery and low materials, you're stuck with crap weapons.

So the general rec is to level with assail because it bypasses cruddy low equipment and cleans up lower difficulty missions.

All of that aside, if you have a lot of materials (including ordos) you can just spend em and get a weapon if the greys unlocked. The lower the rated weapon, the more expensive it is to empower.

If you know all of that, then you just have to look for the dump stat when buying bases. For FGS, force swords and all staves (except voidSTRIKE's is blast radius), the dump stat is warp resist. By dump stat I mean that stat is 60/60 while everything else is 80/80.

1. the enemies that don't die before reaching appreciable stacks of it (e.g. carapace, monstrosities) are suboptimal targets for m1 spam anyways

The +5% damage to ranged talent node only affects VB's LMB (unless that was changed in a recent hotfix).

VB really only uses LMB to suppress enemies, interrupt them, clean up stragglers or weak/ weakened enemies at longer range.

It is not the bulk of the staff's use. It's useful, but not the main thing.

More importantly, the build is point heavy. So sinking 2 points into something that isn't used much and would break up RMB flow isn't worth it for meta builds.

If you want to add more LMB play, EK staff has a crit bonus stat and gets access to the surge blessing.

So instead of jumping from A to B, it jumps from A to B and C at the same time

As a Xbox player that refuses to pay 200$ for a control with paddles. I use scheme 1. Then I bound b to right stick. And then b to right bumper. I can easily dodge slide, sprint slide just click sticks. Then my weapon special is right bumper to help with combos. And my ultimate is on B so I can’t double click it while using zealot rush.

The only things I’m struggling to overcome is the damn knifes on d pad.

I have the older Kaleid model. T4Kaleid. Which is PC/Switch/Android with weird cable adapters only. Maybe PS5, but never tested. Has what M$ calls cheat features like turbo and such.

The newer Kaleid strips those out.

With the pathing you should take, you have empathetic evasion, and become immune to ranged damage when you crit. I mainly weave assail and melee with fgs, then I have a recon in my pocket for dealing with shooters because I become immune to ranged damage while shooting. You could also run an infantry autogun.

Im completely on autopilot in that clip, I never hold any weapon or assail for longer than 3s at a time.

If enemies are close and I'm within melee range and I hit that 3s mark with my sword, I push and draw assail.

So I kill the guy marked by DD to make sure I'm at 15 stacks, then go to throw darts (did not see the armor mixed in), and boom, warp unbound says "fuck you."
