Stamina is nice for extra mobility and blocking forever with kinetic deflection if you have to

If that's not your playstyle at the moment you can of course take toughness or health instead

Stamina is also nice for reviving people that need to be revived while melee enemies are still around, sometimes you can't just clear them first or need to revive them right away.

how does rending work with the ranged damage falloff, technically you could still benefit. But I suppose there are unlikely to be targets with rending/brittle that are far away, unless you are applying it with your gun
