Assail is one i can't speak on too teribly well. never used it often. Good damage though, decent for clearing stuff. Has some good stagger

i think most psyker builds should get hp. You're in bubble shooting most of the time. If you took any damage, it means shit hit the fan and you need to survive 1 big situation. HP is better for this. A constantly regenerating resource like toughness is wasted on you if you're not constantly losing it.
But i need toughness because i'm melee psyker and i frequently need to run out of bubble to get kills. The more toughness i have, the longer and further i can go out safely. I get chipped and run back pretty frequently, so it's constantly helping

About 60-70% of my damage is usually melee
I have 2 toughness curios 1 hp, with 3x toughness perk, leaving me with 90 toughness, compared to the base 60 most people would have if they didn't run toughness at all.
I keep peril at near max whenever i leave bubble so OWTW is always up in danger.
The weapon choice is mainly because i like them thematically, not because they are optimal. If i wanted optimal, i'd just play inferno. I'm trying to optimize suboptimal tools as hard as i can. It does keep up in damage, but it takes a lot more effort
