Yes, DS (especiily DS4) is great with trauma. Trauma broadly covers everything, but its weakest thing is single target and boss DPS. DS covers those.

Uncanny strikes is the most important on DS. If you put maniac on it, you are just short of one shotting mutants with a heavy 1 to the head. Carapace is good too.

Very playable. Just a heads up, crit damage and weak spot damage in general don't do much. I'd swap weak spot to cara. Direct damage is your friend.

Specifically on trauma, the charge doesn't hit weak spots anyways.

With builds, people are assuming min/maxing for the harder content. With that in mind, Low damage on a flurry rending trauma isn't ideal.

Lower damage on a fire or blaze trauma is more forgiving because of the blazing spirit procs.

Precog is fine. It's not bad it's outclassed by other options (especially outside of DD).

Some folks like rampage for better horde clear and having more power for tougher enemies.

I still recommend shred or riposte over tho. DS doesn't have a ton of cleave (even after the buff); but more importantly, if you don't have chaff to keep rampage up, that blessing is doing nothing.

Choosing between riposte and shred is more of personal preference and play style.
