It's easy to swap to so I will just change the points if someone else has cd aura already (assuming you have the mod that lets you swap parallel paths on the tree)

To one shot then with a non crit (still needs highish peril)

So there is value, but it's pretty specific

Cooldown is still way stronger, but a duplicate aura brings nearly no value (only useful if your sibling dies or you are way apart)

I've swapped from shield bubble to psychic scream. I enjoy the safety net of not blowing myself up, even if the bubble makes it easier to protect people who decide to fight the world. I've tried purgatus, voidstrike, and surge, and the only one where I feel like I'm standing out is purgatus+brain burst. Surge and voidstrike, I am not doing poorly, but not really excelling.

Have you tried the double wall shield with the BB recharge boost? Each shield counts as its own combat ability activation so the effect stacks. Someone recommended that with EP and I don't think I can play anything else now. Being able to machine-gun brain burst with no peril if you keep hitting elites is straight dopamine.

Bubble isn't as strong as you think. Imagine this, I'm an Ogryn about to go melee the gunners shooting at us. The zealot and the vet are following behind me. Suddenly a shield drops. My two buddies go hide in it and all momentuem is gone. ~10~ seconds later the shield is gone, more gunners have spwned, and we are in a worse situation.

That isn't to say it's useless, but it's not really a "support" tool.

It's a tool for yourself to use ranged attacks without restriction or dodging.

I mean, some are probably grinding those "Don't die lol" titles and are ducking out before the game counts them as dead. Others could be experiencing technical difficulties, or have somewhere else to be. A golden few might actually be trying to do you a favor, assuming that a bot would be better than a downed/dead teammate (I've had this save runs from certain defeat a few times). And then of course, you've got pessimistic folks trying to cut down on the egregious wait times between matches, your classic ragers and the like.

In summation, lots of reasons to quit early and few incentives not to. I'm not surprised its a problem.

Dmg isn’t as important on a blaze trauma as flurry/rending one.
