It's better, but it's still really easy for a weapon to end up with three or four of its perks as undesirable, so this only rescues a small amount of weapons... and only really those going forwards, as we've probably already used our two modifications on old items.
The only think that significantly benefits is Curios, because now you've only got to hope that one roll is good.
However, there's still a pool of really awful perks that are either completely (+% XP) or nearly (most of the damage perks) useless, so the chance of getting three crap perks is still very much there.
This might however let me rescue some old curios that I don't use any more though.

it will save good stuff with good perks but more than 1 bad blessing
Assuming we kept any of that stuff.
I've got a number of curios I don't use any more because they had a mediocre, but not terrible perk (like ability regeneration which maxes out at a really stingy +4%, or Block Efficiency which is a bit overkill with +3 Stamina and Kinetic Deflection) that I may be able to bring back into use by trading these things out for something more useful.
I also have some Curios I was saving up in the hope of a crafting change.
I hadn't bothered to consecrate them before because of the horrible bricking rates on Curios, but being able to swap out two perks will change that a lot.
There are however going to be a couple of cases where I'm still going to have to decide which of the existing perks gets upgraded to T4 and what has to stay T3.
I've saved every one that had one trait off from being good.
and only maxed blessing of 17% toughness, 21% HP or 3 Stam.
It doesn't help endgame crafting too much
But it helps early to midgame crafting a LOT
Like for example on a weapon that only cares about 1 blessing
Like illisi, itll be much easier to get maniac flak slaught
Or a weapon that doesn't care about blessings like brauto, itll help a ton to be able to get a flak maniac one with random blessings

3 rerolls for weapon 2 rerolls for curios would be a good change. Still RNG but a lot less so.
I'm enthusiastic about the curio change, but the problem with still having two locked boosts on weapons is that unless you already see perks/blessings you're happy with, then you're still making a large resource investment to upgrade a weapon to orange.
I've mostly adopted a strategy of assuming a weapon's bricked if the green and blue consecrations aren't already something I'm happy with, because the chance of the purple and orange consecrations saving it are pretty slim and they cost hugely more.
With my current Illisi, I got it from the Armoury as blue with +8% Elites and T1 Deflector already on it, reasoning that I was okay with those from the off (Deflector tier is a fairly minor difference), and it was basically unbrickable - if Hadron gave me stuff I wanted with the next two, then great, I could polish up what it already had, but otherwise, I could swap the next levels out:

This would be less of an issue of course if blessing balance were sorted out, and they removed completely useless perks from the pool.
Honestly, +XP is barely any use if you get it before you've hit max level, and getting +Carapace damage on a Recon Lasgun (with 0 base damage against carapace) is ridiculous.
Crit and Weakspot perks need to affect the entire hit rather than just the bonus damage, Damage Resistance perks need to actually provide meaningful resistance to their enemy types...
Right now, the flamer and bomber resist perks are (even when not bugged), underwhelming because these two classes will still instabreak your toughness.
If the resistances did something to stop your toughness being instabroken (even if it still went down quite quick), I'd say those perks would actually become quite useful.
Pox Hound resist perhaps instead working by having a small chance each tick to throw off the hound? I'd say that'd be quite popular as a clutch pick.
Or, indeed, having the mutant and hound resists give those classes a percentage chance of missing.
There are ways these resists could be made useful, but the problem with bombers/flamers/mutants/hounds is frequently not the direct damage they do, but the fact they hit you at all.
Because you then usually get ripped a new one by other enemies nearby.

I think my second thought of "20% hound resist means you have a 20% chance of a hound missing if it pounces you" (which can presumably be coded as "20% chance to treat the character as in dodge state") is probably somewhat simpler, but still makes the resistance genuinely useful.

They're fairly easy to deal with if you're expecting them yes, but there's still times you screw up. Doubtless some players would consider it a "skill issue", but I wouldn't turn down an extra saving throw against getting pounced.

There's some things that already work pretty mechanically similarly.
Hit & Run or Ghost, despite saying "Immune to Ranged Attacks" (after either a close range kill or a weakspot hit) actually work by flagging you as in the dodge state. A curio having a chance to put you in the dodge state against certain specialists' attacks isn't wildly different.
Well the differences are, with ghost and hit& run they are temporary and you have to perform a specific action to get the benefit
passive chance for the specialist to fumble doesn't vibe imo
I wouldn't say that's a good enough saving throw that you wouldn't still want to try to dodge manually. Even if you did choose to stack it, it still wouldn't be foolproof and would mean not bringing other perks.
Of course, when it comes to making all gear viable, then yes, there's also some stuff that just needs nerfing.
My thoughts on Slaughterer are knock it back to more like +2% per stack, but with up to 20 stacks. (Probably also with a slightly longer chain time than 2 seconds, or stacks falling off one at a time, so that if you do manage to do all the work to get a full stack it's not instantly gone the moment there's a tiny pause.)
That's still one of the largest power boosts in the game, but you've got to work for it more.

50% or more for lopping 5 poxwalkers is pretty extreme, but building up to that in a crazy mosh seems reasonable

The problem right now is that blessings like Slaughterer set the base line, because it's so excessively good that a weapon not rolling it more or less automatically makes it inferior to any weapon that does.
Blessings need to be different but equal.
Changing how you play it, or maybe tweaking exactly what it specialises in, rather than wildly changing its power level.
And that's not the case when one blessing is "reduce any horde to meaty chunks" and another is "slightly more critical chance after you dodge".

So in short when the next patch hits, weapon locks are still not removed, it will be a tiny bit easier to craft good weapons and I never have to play low intensity again.

I think the curio changes will be quite big. So far, they've been a nightmare to get the perk combinations you like, but this will be a significant improvement.
The optimal style to craft weapons when the next patch hits is to upgrade until purple. If it has two good perks then go orange, lock the perks and you can switch both blessings according to balance changes.
It will be interesting to see how they will handle the current curios with this, which of the perks will unlock, is it random? I doubt they unlock them all.
From what was said somewhere in general chat, they currently track what perk has been re-rolled. That will remain one of your two permitted modifications, but you'll get the option to replace another of your choice.

I've got some old curios that I don't use any more because of a sub-optimal perk (Ability Regeneration is one offender, with its tiny percentages), but this gives me the potential to breath new life into them.

Typically you'll see characters continue running in straight paths without regard for collision or normal ai logic when your network connection drops momentarily and they continue whatever path they had

if you type "view network connections" in the start menu search on windows and open the properties for your wifi you can hit "configure" there, to get more controls. On the "advanced" tab it should have a bunch of different settings, one of which is likely named "wireless mode" - that should let you specify which protocol it's using

mild desync causes hit reg cause your visual doesn't match where the target is, and more extreme desync just, makes the game unplayable

Purg is easier to use and build. Best for hordes
Surge is max CC and can even stun mutants. Must be charged at least half way now. Not good for hordes. Harder to use effectively.
Trauma is your "stronger" generalist option. Can CC crushers and bulwarks, but must me charged enough and positioned correctly to do so. It is very strong at making openings.
Void is also general, but has less CC. It is better at dealing with scattered range than trauma.

I think what happened is the electric visual on enemies is an indicator for the player to see which targets will be hit, but there's a max number of targets. I might be talking out of my ass tho.
The damage being poor on the surge I think is a little overkill given how short ranged it is. Yeah, purge is shorter range, but on big open maps I still find that surge gets into situations where it can't really do anything.

M1 surge can be useful for killing at range or after a main target has been shot. It tackles high threat targets and groups of shooter really well.

When someone is grabbed I sprint near the spawn to save them. When I am grabbed it sloppily make out with me and leave me 80% corruption.
When one player at the end of Hab Dreyko runs ahead, triggers the horde waves, just sits there at the end and gets overwhelmed, and no one can get to them because they are so far away plus needing to clear all of the enemies just to get to the end.
Could just run together, but no.

imo it should be more of a like, generate peril for every second activated and you can deactivate it
so if you keep it active you keep generating peril
and perhaps balance it around cleave consumed per hit
so it'll cost less per groaner/poxwalker hit, but the cost will ramp up if you hit a rager/mauler/crusher/etc.
i think the power sword should have a battery that charges up from doing regular attacks then you can acitvate it to consume that power for X number of charged swings

The best way to stop a vet having loads of ammo to try and waste at the end is to play gun psyker and steal all their ammo during the mission.
If you let them have too much ammo, they get delusions of grandeur.

It's the H2 (heavy 2) to the head that does it. If you haven't reached the needed breakpoints, then hitting with ranged or L1 H2 should help to get you there.

It's funny being able to block an entire horde while reviving someone and still have stamina left afterwards to stagger them with pushes.
imo mind in motion is a really useless feat since sliding exists, you can just have infinite blocks or more effective toughness instead

As I was saying last night, the core problem as I see it with Bomber/Flamer/Mutant/Hound damage resist perks is that it's not really the damage you take from them directly, it's that getting hit at all screws you over - either by insta-breaking your toughness or pinning you such that other things can now damage you.

Well, as I vaguely suggested last night, I think Mutant and Hound resists might work better if they were instead a saving throw against getting pinned. So, a 20% Hound resist gives you a 20% chance of counting as in the dodge state if a hound leaps at you.
Definitely not good enough that you wouldn't still want to try to dodge/block manually, but something that would actually be more useful against them than a resistance to their damage. (You could in theory stack chances pretty high, but still, that would mean sacrificing a lot of your curio perks).

i chalk all of it up to it not being thought about too hard

headtaker is easiest, and generally it's 25%. decimator is a little harder, and it's 50%. slaughterer is harder than that, and it's 75%
like since power is equivalent to damage/cleave/stagger, then +75% power is like a 3x bonus on a horde of enemies
