#psyker-class

i think they should make it 4 damnation missions available at the very least
at least it's three maps per diff now, though I still feel like it likes to refresh the same map/modifier/secondary in a row sometimes
too often you can get cucked by garbage maps or conditions
guess ill just not play the game then
hopefully may fixes this, they said content drop right?
yeah if modifiers/secondaries didn't exist, then I'd be fine with three maps
but when two maps can get taken up by something like hunting grounds
i have an issue when im forced to play the same conditions for like 3+ hours
<@&735928989146939404>
also gotta hit them in the face
and use the second heavy
so quick light > heavy follow up
Yeah, pretty fine. Swap terrifying for warp flurry. And specialist for crit chance or mb some +armortype dmg.
I am not killing it...
yea, i have the same issue on mine, not sure what the break point for dmg on the weapon and other stats is
So it is not "pretty much it"
thats what everyone ive seen talk about it has said lol
tbh i figured i was just shit at hitting them in the face
Unstable power, i guess.
- stacks of warpcharges +warp unleashed.
Depends on how good your rolls are. Mine needs 6 charges and 40% peril with the above
fuck.
who are you
Why?
just wondering
Naturally the best
the 64% damage is only 5 less damage on a heavy than a 77/78% damage/first target one, could this be decent?
it came with slaught 3 too
When shopping for a Deimos sword, am I still looking for a low Warp stat? Or is that only for the Illisi for charge fondling?
Depends on how you use it
but if in the same capacity then yes
With my deimos i use whatever its called for power based off peril
is it worth upgrading the one on the left?
or just take blessing from left and put it on right?
I would just rip off warp flurry and put on right. Surge staff mostly fine as it is if you have good rolls, everything else nice additions.
why even upgrade it if right one is better
what composition was this? How do you go through an entire game and not stagger a single enemy? I'm finding it hard to think of a Psyker build that doesn't even stagger anything accidentally.
yeah enemies staggered used to be recorded but not after when the modmaker remade the mod
maybe if you're using the recon lasguns you could avoid staggering enemies
you have to hit the 3k threshold which involves getting some BB stacks or warp unleashed peril or a combination depending on the stats of your weapon and active blessings
gun psyker is lame
I had trauma, so i actually had plenty of stagger
thats kind of meh for 2.7k milk coins, its fine if you have pinning fire t4 and a lot of coins to spare
pinning fire is the main blessing that you want to go for
stats and perks are fine i suppose
I still dont get why people hate gunpsykers
because theyre in a fight to the death for ammo
now need plasteel for flak
the option of using melee doesn't exist to people who don't like gunkers
people can't stop themselves from pressing two when it comes to horde clear instead of pressing 1
my horde clear is press F and then tap fire and watch the horde disappear
ascendant blaze + pinning fire deletes everything
so does slaughterer/unstable power/warp unleashed
I guess, but it's a lot messier. And melee doesn't get those shooters on the ledge behind cover.
melee is pretty clean

ahh I see
well see how badly hadron fucks it up for me
lets see it
Replace executor with the one that gives guaranteed crit on special kill, at least you will have some funny weapon
3x rubs and its at 100% exactly
yea
i have another one like that already with IV blazing spirit
both pretty horrible
For blessings, I mean.
same thing
I don't get how people think that the four staves cover every possible psyker playstyle.
I don't rate either of those blessings on the Obscurus, and... no, not really the Claw either.
Not terrible. I mostly run a Vraks VII Headhunter with Between the Eyes and Ghost. If you get the Blessings at a decent level and can chain the headshots, you become very resistant to ranged attacks. (Ghost preventing damage, BtE meaning you don't get suppressed and can continue to aim straight).
As is, I don't like Precognition - I don't build around crits, they're too random to rely on (although Crucian Roulette was decent when it could stack to 40-50% crit chance), and +8% weakspot damage if you've just dodged is really rather underwhelming when a perk can provide a permanent +10%.
Superiority isn't terrible (it at least lasts a while), but Slaughterer (if you can get it) goes way higher and triggers on any kill type.
Hand Cannon - again, I don't really rate anything based around Crits, you can't rely on them. Glory Hunter - I've not used it, but I don't think I'd like it much. It's not that much toughness it restores, and it only works on elites.
Even the best level of Glory Hunter on a revolver doesn't give a psyker back that much damage resistance - only really a light hit or two's worth of toughness.
If it gave you back a huge chunk of your toughness bar, that'd be a different matter, but it doesn't.
25 toughness is gone in the blink of an eye if a gunner shoots at you.
How's the Rashad and Achlys now, compared to the Antax?
whats the best 2 blessings for a trauma staff?
1.flurry and 2.shockwave (rending for teammates but no personal damage buff) or focused channeling (utility), or harnessing the warp (statistical ~5% dps increase)
how do u get 5%
its up to 20% additional crit chance, crits add 25% damage, 25% of 20% is 5%
i thought crits did 15% on trauma
afaik all weapons do 25% crit damage unless they have a special modifier, usually finesse
nah staves are different
Crits are, for the most part, pretty underwhelming.
The only things around crits that I rate either have to stack the chances really high, or add a special effect.
yea and so nexus will give at most 3% damage increase and probably 2% or lower in practice
pretty shit
For the most parts, crits equate to "maybe it'll take one less hit to kill this guy".
And to be honest, in the flurry of a fight, unless it's a slow weapon, if I'm used to it taking two hits to finish a certain enemy type, I'm probably already putting the second shot into them by the time I notice they're dead.
(Or the third shot, or whatever).
just crunching the numbers, trauma deals 1.3x crit damage
purg (lmb/rmb direct hits) and void (rmb) deal 1.15x
surge (blessing) makes crit do damage like it does in other games rather than almost nothing

and then there's the low crit rates
Yeah, that's one of the genuinely useful crit blessings.
Two shots is a meaningful boost, 25% is not.
25% is meaningful if it helps you reach breakpoints, though I still dislike the chance aspect of it
on the trauma, the only non-elite/special that you won't one-shot is probably just going to be dreg bruisers (450 hp)
Well, that's all it really does; slightly randomise the breakpoints.
testing on trauma i got much more from left clicks ~1.28 (on unarmored, significantly more on armored) than right clicks but right clicks gave me around ~1.15 on crushers
Because you can't plan for a crit, and don't know when it's happening, you have to assume it's not.
u sure bout this?
im getting 15% and stat sheet says 15% too
not really, since I'm looking at the calc numbers
the calc says 15% too
@hidden crystal i can assume its happening if i have a high enough chance and roll fast enough, its just not great for direct damage single hits
oops
I entered the numbers wrong
OH it's because i got names mixed up
it's the void RMB that deals 1.3x, not trauma
I suppose there is the cast time to check if your cast one-shot enemies or not
If you're just spraying into a horde, I guess, but for anything actually aimed, less so.
thankfully I have bloodthirsty at least already
but I doubt I'll have thetime to get more than one of these
eh? thats the entire basis of recon infernus--even if its not a strong build anymore
I know right
if I didn't have other responsibilities I would
prob can only afford one though even if I did all contracts for this week today
would be tempting to pick up trauma surge for the hopium of if it ever works properly
blazing spirit + warp nexus does work from what I've been hearing on this discord
Infernus is a different matter; that's something that boosts a crit a lot beyond its base effects.
but that does require another blessing to make the crit blessing worthwhile
anything that requires me to give up focused channeling is too much
guess shred would be the equivalent on sword for blazing combo
blazing spirit isnt hard to get since its only t3
Mind you, I don't often take the Recon as a psyker; it's ammo-hungry.
it's not the difficulty of acquisition
blazing spirit is useless on swords since if you crit its dead
it's the opportunity cost of giving up the choice of another blessing
blazing 4 seems pretty good though at 4 stacks per crit if shred is up at 25, 5 base and 5 perk
And people are usually grumpy enough about gunpsykers needing ammo as it is.
its far worse than slaughterer + your pick
could prob still get by with recon if you selectively use it
I tend to save it for ventilation purges.
4 people should go run recon lasguns on hi-shock and report on their ammo
you mean like the situation we're talking about
noth: @hidden crystal i can assume its happening if i have a high enough chance and roll fast enough, its just not great for direct damage single hits
You might have missed some of what I said earlier.
no, i specifically was talking about this sort of situation and you responded to that very message with an @reply refuting it
My initial point was about crits generally being underwhelming unless you have the crit triggering something else, so "Ah, but crits are great with Infernus" isn't making the point that crits aren't very exciting in their base form.
which one should I upgrade?
Something like Surge or Infernus does something to make crits more worthwhile.
neither
into the bin
on the illisi, I like some warp res
The stats are nice, but neither blessing is one I rate.
The right one could be nice if you can get deflector on it, but that relies on the next Blessing being a good one.
right one is fine, though you could possibly just use the left one if you're good at managing your peril and can spam it from 100%
72% warp res is nice for spamming light-specials into two elites continuously
(Deflector with +20% Block is quite nice, but yeah, you'll want to reroll the mediocre carapace damage)
really just a matter of what you want out of your force swords
I like mobility and use force swords as my main weapon over my staff, so I'd personally run the left one since it's not like 49% warp res is terrible, and it could be my quietude stick if needed
only iffy aspect is that 49% warp res generates 25.4 peril and is just barely under that threshold for getting 5 continuous specials from 0% (or 3 from 50%)
BE VENGEANCE
How me and the boys feel loading into a hi5 shock
AB purg feels quite lackluster after running barrage purg for so long
I like Ascendant Blaze because it's fire and forget, does damage, and lets you get back warp charges from kills.
How should I build a Deimos Force Sword?
Nothing like blasting a big wave of "I'll pay you X warp charges to F off" into a horde
If Deflector is not needed, what Blessings should I use?
+maniac, unstable power. Other perk and blessings idk.
Honestly, I find Unstable Power to work with Illisi Sword better.
Since you can keep Warp-charging it quickly.
maybe exorcist if your into that
Hey do all staves share a blessing pool? Like If I take a blessing off a surge staff can I put it on a purgatus?
Slaughterer is always good as a generic "kill things" blessing. Uncanny strike is useful if you want to humiliate crushers with the special attack.
I don't think so?
sluaght is basically required, then on demios either unstable power or uncanny strike
either is good
no. Every staff has its own blessing pool.
I want to call the Deimos Sword the "Poker of the Warp" or "The Emperor's Jab"
all staffs are useful in a way. Depends on what you want to do.
what would be a good pairing with the deimos and illis force swords?
Obscurus Sword's basically a starting Force Sword...so what else to keep it up with the other Force Swords, aside from my usual suggestions?
Surge is great for stunlocking special/elite threats
Purge is great to keep hordes and other small stuff off of the team
Voidstrike is a good alrounder staff that has the longest range and does decent damage and stagger
Trauma is like carrying a box of small grenades. Can deal with anything, but is clunky and difficult to use.
Ok thanks! I will have to play with them more. So far I like the purgatus since I have used the zealot flamer a lot and love it. Might try pairing it with the deimos so I can kill beefy targets.
Do the three force swords share a blessing pool?
I think yes
cool that will make it easier to get a good deimos and illis
What's the heaviest melee weapon a Psyker could have? Is it the Combat Axe?
That's probably the slowest one I can think of rn
(Note: By heavy, I mean lorewise the biggest conventional melee weapon for Psykers)
Two handed force sword? Idk
anything a normal human can wield + force version of that
Emperor forgive me for my thoughts, that would be naughty
Brih
would spear special function like obscurus or illisi though?
halberd makes sense as a cleave like illisi
how big is the crit bazong on surge
it just crits a lot, more then for big damage
i see the crit bonus but is it something to look out for specifically or should i just spam it
i'm a voidsurge moron so i don't use other staves much
rolling for level 4 perilcrit
i used to only use voidstrike, but i like surge on damnation.
on void so i can slap the surge bless on it
i think you usually want to charge surge til at least 50% for damage
When using Force Swords, I feel like one of those blade dancers in some Fantasy Games.
Just sayin', cuz damn I dodge a lot more often.
1v1ing the traitor captain with a demios is a great time
Duel the Daemonhost.
Hey any melee weapon that good for horde clearing
I wanna try lightning staff
It great against armor but suck ass vs trash mob
Illisi Force Sword.
Illisi has insane horde clear
After putting time into getting all the penances on psyker
all the other classes just feel.. shit.
Psyker literally has an answer for everything
Tbh: I just have the same fell as you except not for psyker but for ogryn
Ogryn definitely has some weaknesses imo, but Psyker just.. i can't think of what it can't do
Which one?
How about take damage?
It's massive size and getting chunked by gunners
If you know how to block & dodge, psykers the tankiest class of em all imo
especially with kinetic deflector
Size is Gud can shoot over sparkhead
Gud for looking
Also gunners just die
yeah they do, but there's always like 50 of em
No problem shoot some till your toughness is gone hide wait for toughness come back super fast because of 200% faster toughness Regen shoot again
Just op
Mixed hord? No problem you replenish more toughness then you get damage anyways
Crushers? No problem just ripper them away
Somehow you ended up in a bad situation? Just run out of it unstoppable
Still wondering if the Obscurus Sword is worth it.
Cuz if not, then I'll have it surrendered to Hadron for the Blessing.
Tbh I think daimos and illis are better
That's why I'm thinking of doing it/
Unstable Power III
Which, if I'm not wrong, would have 18% more damage at high peril?
obs is meh. use the others instead
This one would be better with the Illisi, since you can constantly charge it up unlike the others, which you have to pause.
However...compared with Slaughterer, which gives a total of 62.5% more damage...
Slaughterer gives 75%
I'm gonna just do a funny and get a Catachan Sword for Veteran, with Rampage and Shred.
Deimos does everything Obscurus does but better
Illisi does horde clear better than Deimos
... I feel bad for Catfish. It's gotta be painful hitting that commslink submit button knowing what the community really wants, what everyone is desperate for, isn't even mentioned or hinted at
In the bottom 10 worst jobs, along with retail
At least we got these previews, much better than the radio silence in January shudders
Having a whole new set of penances to do doesn't really excite me
Cosmetics are nice, but they're not what stops me from playing more
if an enemy dies while having soulblaze but the last hit that did them in was another damage type, would that still be considered when proccing the AB passive?
Yes
thank you!
AB procs for all psykers with it when any enemy dies with soulblaze on them
Doesn't matter who applied the soulblaze
+infested or unyielding on deimos?
Neither. +Maniac is really all you need.
Just wondering cause it has both and I'm trying to decide which to switch
You want flak on surge
65% burn rip
It's not the worst staff but I think the 65 burn kinda ruins it.
whats the meta build for on the hardest difficulty?
it's the same as a 76+ one except vs bosses
for psyker
Whats the burn damage thresholds on the Purgatus for DoT damage stacks?
I know 76% is one, which one is before? 70%?
I don't remember exactly, 65% might still be 14 stacks
Nearly every enemy dies before you can even hit 15 stacks, so people have been overselling the importance of having 76+. Of course you'll rather have a perfect item than not
does it though, like you can get ogryns to 15 before they die but likely going to barely if at all affect when it dies
one full charge without crits gets you to 11 typically and with crits 14 is probably the average
particularly the play pattern of dumping your AB into a mixed horde, if you get unlucky and don't recoup your charges immediately you're basically jumping everything in front of you to max stacks immediately, and the higher that number is the better
and you usually won't be using purg vs reapers
14 stacks vs unyielding is 160 damage ticks, 15 is 178. The odds of that making a difference when it dies are fairly low
I've been able to notice the difference in the process of leveling my 5 psyker melk farm roster
between max burn and not
I mean we're basically in agreement that it's a numerically small but nonzero difference, how much one cares is up to him I guess
Quick question, with all those re-roll logs for perks - did you made a Bug report (i know cheeky thing for that problem) - to see if it's by design or it's a bug that 3 most useless and undesired perks have increased weight of appearing ? 🙂
We need to know - how deep their hate for players runs 🙂
One thing if it's a bug, and if not - it's a huge oof for them
I'm not going to do a report because I don't think it's a bug
I want ordo on everything anyway
Then we need to pester them to buff that perk to at least +25% dockets for t4 version
i've been running a variant of my favorite trauma loadout with void staff and illisi
enjoying it
i dont even notice the low damage
Y’all Spark’Ead’s excited for the 2h force sword?
i would kill for that
i love zealot 2 handed weapons but i dont like cleaving one enemy at a time
the heck does gain 4 - 16% mean
I initially thought it was a 2h power sword but it has the vent thing that a lot of psykers weapons have so it’s more likely a force sword but I’m still not fully sure
It used to be called warp nexus. The accurate description of that would be:
Gain +4% critical chance at 20/40/60/80 peril.
ok thats what i thought hmm
there isnt one. psyker has many effective builds for hi5 conditionals. better to post your build/gear and we can help optimize
personally I found that for Damnation Hi Intensity Shock Gauntlet, a Surge staff is really a must. The breathing space it creates for everyone else to do their thing is something no other class or weapon can really bring. Especially during those moments where the AI director just starts non-stop rapidfire throwing threats at you.
But you only need one. When you bring two, your team doesn't really have the DPS to kill things fast enough.
just figured out the real difference between trauma and void
for regular Damnation, you can bring basically any staff. Purgatus probably being the most popular as it doesn't need super rare or high tier blessings to be effective.
Surge too, I guess, but running surge in regular Ddamnation seems a bit of a waste. Maybe if your team has a bit less experience and they need the crowd control.
crusher swarms in tight quarters are probably some of the more pants ruining situations you can find yourself in
I did my 1st psyker resontly and did knife and fire staff.
The knife is for high speed travel and melee swings. More swings the better.
Idr the % chance but with all attacks I do I have a chance to brain pop an enemy and allies around me have a chance to grant me a warp charge.
The fire and knife make this happen alot so I've always got charges
yeah, the bb on hit from the feat has a cd
two surges is fine as long as your melee is good
the DPS of melee is fine, especially against mutants/dogs and with the amount of cleave they have
and surge isn't necessary if you're running another CC like trauma and/or you're on top of killing special spawns
especially because specials spawn one-by-one instead of all at once (though they might be synchronized because of different move speeds and which closet they came out of)
Why not just link the thread
Too lazy
wouldve taken less work to just copy the link instead of 3 images
Thanks Spark’Ead
link? >.>
It was linked above
ah yeah saw it
pretty sure it is for psyker considering the data mined image had the title "sanctioned" or wte under it
as in sanctioned psyker
no clue tho at this point
people said theres a datamined 2h psword and a 2h FS and a 2h chainaxe
the force sword is the one that said sanctioned
you also see that 2h being wielded by a non-psyker (no collar)
not sure if leaked weapons are restricted by class tho
Ah that explains the difference between the icon and In game model
also yeah i take that back I thought you were showing the force sword
but you are showing the psword (ew)
yeah thats prob not for psyker
i'll be happy for a slicey dicey 2h sword that actually has good cleave
presumably, it's going to have good cleave
eviscerator's a low bar to clear anyways
I swear if there are any over heads in the light chain imma be mad
I want exe sword v2
Light chain is all pokes, heavy chain is all overheads
No over heads, a poke though
prepare to be amazed
it also better not have a fuckin uppercut
Special attack makes you do a leg sweep
they coded in an animation specifically for your character to crouch down and cut at the legs
blessing - when crouching, deal 10% more damage to leg hitboxes of enemies
let me use dark eldar weapons
i dont see the big deal with 2h weapons
an upper cut slash that somehow has head priority tho
people seem to like them just because theyre 2h weapons
Correct
which is weird
if its one handed why can't I use a shield
How so?
u guys should all use the evis then
and the animations are going to vary a bit more than from the myriad of 1h weapons we have
2 is larger than 1 therefore 2h sword is better
Or thammer
Evis is not in a good place atm
I mean what I want is a polearm lmao
ur fraud
give me a halberd
i cannot use evis as I am not a zealot
I wanna be able to poke enemies from a safe distance
what makes u think the 2h fs is gonna be good
oh or a spear charge
ITS GONNA BE BAD
strongest psyker arms can't even handle a braced autogun
Big sword
and then no one will use it even though they said they wanted a 2h weapon so bad
maybe they'll upgrade psyker arms
Or they'll use it and get flamed
and since its not an iconic weapon
no one will think "oh the eviscerator is good guys comon"
like the zealots over there
well we'll have another punching bag at least
and then maybe we'll get overbuffed again
that's true
slow af attacks
thammer is pretty slow
if you can swing an arming sword at the speeds that you can with the 1h blaze force swords
at least with hammers, the weight is distributed onto the end with the center of mass farther from the hand
so it makes sense for that
same for IRL hammers if you've ever held a sledgehammer
I'll cope about what ever cool weapon I think will be added all I want
thats coming in about 8months to a year
So?
where's my comet azur staff, fatshark
look we don't have much else to be hype about smh
let us be hype
comet azure sucks anyways
not allowed until they give a roadmap
my greatest insult I can do, to call you french
I’m more of a faith guy
i think french is aight
smh
What?

Frenzy burst spaming tryhards smh
It also says "Power Sword" and not "Force Sword"
next you are going to tell me you run bleed builds
I’m a beast incant enjoyer
eh both have been datamined so
yeah
Doesn’t matter in the end
can't believe you don't run int mage
i just want a new staff
rock sling best
peril glock
Voidstrike
voidstrike's DPS is dogshit
Beast incants let me throw rocks too
the DPS of our 4 staffs is dogshit
I don't get why people like to compare staffs to guns
Who?
smh those are the bad rocks
When did i do that
Me?
are you really gaslighting me
Do you not understand jokes?
no
and I know that you like to defend the voidstrike
that's the context I'm running on
and it's not really a gun staff because it lacks DPS
Not the point
the only analogy that you can draw is that it shoots in a straight line and has range
I made a joke chill
the point of almost every gun in the game is that it has high burst DPS in exchange for almost no cleave
no
3 out of 4 staves shoot left click in a straight line too
gunstaff
hell yeah
is that like a hand held cannon?
I just realized voidstrike is basically the first handguns lmao
Alakablam
Hand gonne
Because back then guns were cannons, and you couldn't carry them by hand.
MFs will really use voidstrike staffs like this on damnation and say its a bad weapon
Maybe Spark’Ead could get a beam staff similar to sienna’s
it's not bad
just bad compared to other staffs
I'd be fine with using the voidstrike if I could sprint slide with it
Trauma staff my beloved
but I hate the beam staff ;-;
but it lacks that mobility option or protection from range when casting
Too bad
but I like being a meta slave
at the bottom of discord, you can see when a person is typing
Lads calm down we don’t want to cause an incursion now do we?
perhaps you should let them finish before making a fool of yourself
boltstaff chads where you at
you'll hear me saying that the DPS of every other staff is dogshit
I’d be fine with the shotgun staff that I can’t remember the name of
Coruscation
Thanks
beam had a shotgun too
stolen
best of both worlds
thats basically a shotgun
interesting
I never used the Coruscation, what’s it’s performance like?
i suppose in the context of this game, there's the minimum pellet count thingy that it would follow if it were a real shotgun
mfw when I gotta go to the erdtree for the 4th time because this build I'm using needs the fucking rotten wing sword talisman again
fuck
beam was great it had 3 fire modes it had shotgun a snipe and a sustained snipe
i love any tracking weapon (that has good DPS and doesn't have shit ammo economy)
recon
:(
i made a point of qualifying with those last two conditions >:(
wonder if they're ever going to make LMB of staffs good
Coruscation was gamebreaking op
so weird to look at beam staff gameplay with a primary that looks particularly useful in conjunction with the secondary (though I suppose there's the purg)
pretty good it left fire patches on the floor for a long ass time
theyre gonna make one of the new psyker penances to do 100% damage on a boss with only staff LMB
do 100% damage to boss only with staff special

they said the new penances werent gonna be a one off in a mission thing
which is just fucking annoying
"take 300 years to kill 4 elites while crouching 60 times"
riveting gameplay
maybe not crouching but sliding
while standing on a handrail
While doing a hand stand
I'd like penances like "kill enemies with melee while sliding" for the sake of teaching players actually good habits
^
"kill at least five elites in a single mission using only grenades 100 times"
For ogryn
Weapon specific penances would be kinda neat
or if they're not going to have an in-game glossary for a long ass time, at least hint at more obscure mechanics with penances
Get 2 headshot kills in a single slide
It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that corruptor was the eyeball thing

Or the mission objective
who looks at mission objectives smh
"destroy demon infestation"
I kind of just blank out on the mission objectives and go to wherever the marks tell me to go
I just do what metal lady tells me
I just get morrow shouting at me :<
Morrow was steel legion so it makes sense why he’s hard on everyone
Yeah, but I still don't like him shouting about being too slow, since there's nothing I can do about it :<
grow thicker skin then Spark’Ead
maybe if you stacked +3 stamina curios and sprint eff on curios and your weapon you wouldnt be so slow would you
Maybe, I'll do that and also grab a knife with stamina and sprint
trauma does something weird combined with wildfire
Advantage to voidstrike is you get 6 stacks with one hit.
Trauma my beloved
because explosion+impact
What’s y’all’s favorite variant of force sword? I’ve recently become a big fan of the illis because of its cleave
The single target one feels really good (the arrow head one, don't know the name)
illisi is my favorite one
can deal with two human-sized elites at once
light-specials are fast enough to stagger ragers/maulers repeatedly
That's the cleaving one, right?
ye
and just having 18.4 cleave at max slaughterer stacks with the special is so good
deimos oneshots muties
Prove it
It does what now?
Clip or not true
Its possible but you need a very specific perk and blessings
basically a god roll
saw a clip months ago
but you can one shot a mutie with one heavy, uncharged thrust headshot
ill try to fnd it
The
Just psyker feats and a well rolled sword.
damn you don't even need unstable power for that?
u never did
What feats?
combination of Warp unleashed/battery
Well I'll be
need about 33% total damage
The clip has six warp charges
I was gonna say. I was testing out the thrust heavy attack and it‘ll two shot muties and one shot most non Ogyrn specials without any special setup or god roll
yeah you need like one warp charge
It’s my favorite melee currently
Definitely going to give the Deimos a whirl
Mine does it at 5 stacks and 0 peril iirc
u dont need weakspot
mine does it with +mutants and one warp charge
or every damage bonus
almost does it with none
just looking at the calc, you need 38% extra damage off of a +25% maniac 80/80/80 deimos
at 0 peril?
been a little since i tested it
6 wc is 24%, so you'll need 14% from elsewhere
Deimos has goofy damage
On H+ it’ll two shot in most circumstances with any decent roll with or without charges
get slaughterer and it even horde clears
you'd figure when it does that much damage they'd have make it not bounce visually
thats with uncanny
Also that voiceline lined up perfectly with killing the first mutant
Deimos is my go to currently. I use purg or surge staff, so hordes aren’t a problem
Haven’t played Spark’Ead much lately guess I got work to do now
Deimos will one shot most specials on the thrust as well. It’s really nutty
can't the illisi also one shot muties with a good roll
without slaughterer you can't
idk about one shot
feel like Lazorrs does
lemme test my roll
I think you can with Illisi with the right rolls stacked up
id believe it
i also have unstable power
probably high peril with unstable and slaughterer up
I do my tests unbuffed as much as I can
yeah i run slaughterer/unstable
What are the best perks and blessings for the trauma?
like as wild as it is the demios can do that, the illisi is probably more powerful
rending shockwave/warp flurry
+unarmoured is nice to oneshot dreg bruisers (450 hp) without needing to stack damage buffs from elsewhere
yeah id agree illsi is better
How's the cleave damage with illisi? Can you kill everything you touch in a horde or is it multiple swings?
yea u can if u go omega slaughterer unstable buffbuffbuff
yeah pretty much
with max t4 slaughterer stacks, unstable power, warp unleashed, and 4 warp charges, I deal 200+ bodyshot damage with the minimum cleave damage
activated yes
it cleaves through just about everything
unactivated it's still up there on the horde clear levels
IIRC illisi with the right perks blessings and buffs will cleave hordes and one shot specials
I do love big cleave
It’s nutty
i usually dont even bother charging on horde clear
it has 10.5 base cleave when activated
doesnt feel needed
anyone have the JO Illisi clip on hand
I see
I'm just gonna take some notes for tomorrow then, this will be interesting.
here's a comparison of the special heavies vs normal heavies on the deimos
normal heavies are pretty good
just a small amount of damage
but special heavies are very good
and if you spam dodges, you'll rarely get hit when activating your special
I like the Deimos because I can simply heavy thrust headshot most specials without worrying about buffs and whatnot. I can just swap, slash cancel into thrust and swap back
so the lack of power cycler is not really a downside for the illisi
imagine if you could do multiple swings in one charge lol
you also don't have to worry about buffs with the illisi since you should be able to reliably two-shot mutants with some combination of heavy-special headshots/bodyshots
or just light-spam into human-sized elites
because the special seems to have strong stagger that can stagger ragers out of their combos
and spamming the light-special (activation and swing) is fast enough to hit ragers/maulers before they can get an attack off
Yah I just want to pull the sword out, kill a dude, and put it back so I can torch the horde.
for me, illisi is my main weapon
maybe im under utilizing the special, i only use it to kill elites/start of a horde
or spam it to get quietude off it
Bit slower but you can rub fast with qq deimos
Nah, that’s what I do but it’s still too slow for me
30% warp resist illisi, 3 rubs puts me at 97
Too cozy
But I’m hoping I can find a 10-20% Deimos
godroll weapons that want low stats are always funny to me
i have a good roll but it doesnt have super low warp res
only issue with it
everything else is like 70+
or 80
I'm amazed you're actively looking for low resist, that's some high IQ stuff I did not think of
Yah it’s kinda funny
It’s the null stat lmao
It makes it likely to find a decent one from the store too
the only one thats sketchy with low res is trauma
Yeah
although i care less when it comes to the staffs
you could make a case for low warp res with any weapon with how good quelling is now
i'd be fine with a low res trauma for quietude
thats fair i just worry about how much your gonna be quelling vs actually using the staff
with perfect rolls you only need to quell for two ticks
at least it's not as bad as the 47% peril days
though I still kinda liked it when the trauma generated that much peril
Correct
here's my Deimos. Just did a bit of testing, and with five stacks of slaughterer and high peril I instakill a mutie with a charged heavy
no warp stacks
Pop pop
So I finally have a well-rolled trauma staff
I just need rending whatchacallit to put on it
and I have to say, I am liking it a lot
still prefer the Purgatus though
i dont think ive ever seen riposte used
transfer peril > what?
weak spot dmg > ?
is it good? ive heard that what counts as a dodge can be sketchy
I just threw it on there because I didnt have anything better, and I don't really use deflector
riposte is meh
This. I find it inconsistent
transfer peril into either flurry or focused
focused if you like to push into ranged enemies with trauma
works well with big dodge weapons (knife), you can see the buff activating on your bar
otherwise go for flurry
ty
weakspot into probably +unarmoured for more reliably one-shotting dreg bruisers (450 hp)
It’s playable and it’s fun
maybe its better than i think it is tho
any weird feats you need for trauma build
yeah its usable
dont think so
unless you want to do the fire build
It’s not great and you have to be much better about using cover than you would normally
depends on what you're using trauma for
aha certainly not for me then lol
I use trauma more as a support to my melee and as my panic button, so I like warp unleashed over inner tranq
i think i run unleashed on everything tbh
the damage is just so good
unless im thinking of the wrong feat
yeah top lvl10 feat
ok yeah
i use that one on everything lol
unless i eventually try a fire build
and use W&R
trauma doesn't really need feats to hit breakpoints except on dreg bruisers if you're not running +unarmoured, and the other feats are more or less just benefitting psyker in general unless you want quicken for more staff spam
maybe you could give up kinetic deflection since trauma provides the space that you need to get revives off
it's nice for preventing guardbreaks and prevents the need to go for a +stam curio when running a low stam weapon with dogshit block cost like the force swords (which are currently bugged to consume 1.5 bars instead of 1 bar when blocking frontal attacks of most melee)
yeah i dont use stam curios with force swords so i usually just push or dodge and almost never block but i should probably get stam eventually
I personally run a +stam curio instead of taking kinetic def
ik its recommended
How good is the light spam on the illisi?
pretty good with slaughterer
lights are all diagonals/horizontals
Sick
I still don't like light spams for hordeclear though
lights only have 2 cleave and heavies have 6
Just wondering is all
doesn't matter for specials since both special-lights and special-heavies have 10.5 cleave
with the difference being the cleave distribution and damage
the heavy does more damage tho doesnt it?
ye
yeah the vertical swing is really nice
seems that most of the lag comes from the end of the heavy when chaining into your next attack
very satisfying when it cleaves the mutant in half too lol
very anxiety inducing when I'm waiting for a mutant to come near before my slaughterer stacks run out so that I can one-shot his ass
yeah with illsi i generally just try to respect mutants and dont count on murdering them instantly like i do with deimos
but its still very good
i wish BB was better vs them sometimes for when they are far and not after me but theyve just got so much health
very sad when I have to dodge mutants and let my teammates kill them
though their gimmick is being strong against ranged (except against certain ranged weapons which have bonus maniac damage for some god forsaken reason)
save all mutants for arco. got it.
That’s when muties get a box to the dome
do they have a resistance to BB? i feel like it takes more BBs to kill mutant than crushers
Curiosity of your friendly neighborhood Ogryn
mutants eating shit and flying when you box them gives me life
nah mutants take the full 1100 damage it seems
i mean
Box is the best weapon in the entire game
in exchange for taking 3x damage against melee
how much do crushers have?
it might just be coincidence that i feel like i never kill them with BB
Box also one shots reapers to the dome on any difficulty which is nice
2550, but crushers take 907.5 damage from BB
ah ok thats why
yeah you can BB them
im just cant rely on it to kill a lot of the time but our force swords destroy them so its fine
well idk about obscurus
POV: You are a Mutie
my pre-patch obscurus could two-shot muties with light-special bodyshots and could do it reliably with warp unleashed (I didn't run unstable power before)
normals on force swords are also fine
just with the usual problems of the sticky special
and especially now that bloodthirsty got nerfed
and the timing on that fucking 2nd heavy got changed
and even though the attack direction of the 2nd heavies are the same on both the obscurus and illisi, their hold timings are different?
skill issue
this minor inconvenience to my muscle memory reflects poorly on the obscurus
is sustained fire useful on void?
bloodthirsty obscurus was so much fun
ive never seen anything take out a captain shield so fast
so good for racking up slaughterer stacks with the initial damage boost and then just going ham from there
or chaining special attacks on ragers/maulers within 5 seconds and being able to whack on any other enemies without worrying about losing the buff
or just using normals on maulers/ragers and killing them with guaranteed crits
it only works on void
p sure it just means it fires a second projectile
but on everything else its just LMB
lmao nice
yeah lol
wish me luck siblings
Was there always an option to use Arabic instead of Roman numbers?
mod
Siblings, I've been talking with my beloved and he decided to give me a nice gift and now my Trauma staff is complete:
Its the warp nexus one they changed the name rises crit chance based on peril
Wouldn't be better transfer peril instead of harnessing the warp? For extra casts..
Perhaps, but if you have good quell management, you'll be fine. I'm just happy to have my first 550.
transfer peril doesnt work on the right click which is the bread and butter of the build, if they don't left click much transfer peril is useless
That's what I thought, but wasn't sure if anything changed.
is the one on the left worth buying and using over the one on the right? not sure how important blast radius is
I just said that because your warp flurry its locked so with transfer peril if you are hitting the weakspots you would be casting with the full 50% speed after reaching it. Thats what happens with my void. If you are managing the peril you are not taking full advantage of warp flurry. At this point you would be better casting on the red peril. Quelling and cast again for max crits.
I manage it at the last second around the 90% range.
you can't hit weakspots with a circle cast on the floor. trauma staff is not voidstrike staff
yeah, you're right:
the left one is better yea, both because it has + maniac and because quell speed is the dump stat which is what you want in a transfer peril build. you can put +flack and transfer peril on it
Uless feet are weak spots?
You are marking it on the floor but doesn't the cast comes from above? I have some really good trauma but don't like how it plays so I barely play with it
i can only say it so many ways, right click on trauma doesnt work with transfer peril
I like the Trauma for horde clear.
illisi or deimos?
illisi for hordeclear, deimos for elite killing and mutant oneshotting (all without empowering)
purg staff and deimos best blessings?
You would love trauma if it was an implosion instead of explosion like a kind of black hole effect. I don't like how it disperses elites.
also illisi if you abuse ascendant blaze because you can spam peril for warp unleashed and unstable power while getting slaughterer stacks
I like it, it's fun to blow up a ton of poxy boys.
the key is to aim it farther ahead of the group most of the time, and if they get close aim it at your teams feat so it pushes elites back. you also can just use minimum cast time single target casts on individual enemies for high priority stagger targets
I will try to play around with mine more to see if it grows on me. And when I get home going to test the transfer peril on the meat grinder out of curiosity. I really though you were marking the floor but the cast was coming from above.
quell speed awesome
You want Burn, Cloud and Damage; in that order.
I made many purgatus I believe you need damage and burn at 75 at least. Because at 75 or 80 the values are the same
Yup I think thats good for base stats. The warp resistance variation from 50% to 80% its about only 2% per cast
Good luck
maybe paired with wildfire
