Basically, if I do 100 damage to unarmored and I do 90% damage to a flak enemy, I would do 90 damage right? So if I have 50% rending, that would reduce the damage resistance by 50% so I would do 94/95% damage to flak, right?

Yeah, the rev doesn't stagger unless you do a heavy, the push attack sucks, the light combo is janky, and it doesn't hit good breakpoints
And the heavy is a side swipe if you Rev it, so that sucks for headshots too
and it doesn't have head priority

i like warp unleashed for hitting the 2-shot breakpoint for mutants with light-specials on a +maniac force sword
its got two use cases, 1) It buffs FS damage in general, so good for making FS hordeclear better, and hitting breakpoints on special. Its good for hitting voidstrike one shot breakpoints more easily on like half charges n shit
but it requires more brain than the reward

I'm hoping the new update can make dueling swords a bit better. (I just love how they look and play.) I've been trying to build horde clears on all dueling swords but none of them stand up to an MK V axe with brutal momentum. Even with rampage, shred, and more damage to infested it just takes too long to kill trash mobs. I miss my saltzpire crowd shred.....
Dueling swords aren't really meant for cleave though being a dueling sword.
Thoughts on the blessings? Which one should I upgrade to t4?

You're also only considering a max of the max FS. At low stats, FS is pretty shit, especially for horde clear. A lot of what you're basing that opinion on is also basically just using it as a stat stick for slaughterer, because I don't have any slaughterer blessing, and I don't get nearly that amount of cleave with FS.

@void mural totally great mobility but feels like your just waving a little bendy metal stick around its not as nice feeling to use as the chunkier weapons

That's about what I felt. I tried one a while back, went "this does dick all dmg", and put it away. Learned it's got great mobility later on, but I don't feel like that's worth the weapon being shit
Yeah, there's probably about 6 blessings in the game that just completely overshadow all others
And then there's also a group of absolutely useless blessing as well (a lot of the ogryn ones, unfortunately)

Equinox MK III Trauma Force Staff I remember this one being bad in the beta did it get like secretly buffed or something

i'm not sure about the beta, but immediately post-launch, it had around 47% peril generation at 80% warp res for a full charge
but a while back, they did fix it by making the peril generation more reasonable
at 80% warp res, it now generates 24.45% or something peril
other than that, nothing else has changed about the trauma staff
no lie that suck but make sense, basically the most free skill in the game

for comparison's sake, an Obscurus has this cleave distribution on its heavies with max T3 slaughterer stacks
and Antax lights has this cleave distribution on its lights with max T3 Decimator stacks

since this was excise vault with infinite trickling spawns
we managed to beat it though
trickling spawns are the most evil design of FatShark
i fucking hate how pre-spawned hordes always trickle in some enemies for a solid minute before stopping whenever you alert them

fairly easy to hit headshots with the FS as long as you avoid the 2nd light though
most claw im checking have better heavy damage but i guess they don't have slaugther so 🤷♂️
surprise how easy it is to HS on this weapon
the heavies on claws also come out slower
also have more cleave falloff
cleave distribution of a devil claw sweeping heavy (7.5 cleave)
compared to force sword's heavy (6 cleave)
and hitting a first hit weakspot is super easy which makes up all the damage on 3 targets, then ur just winning
and you're not locked out from your block for as long on the force sword when doing a heavy
the other advantage of slaughterer is the fact that power buffs boost the stagger strength of your pushes, meaning that you can push commons away from melee elites to isolate them (sometimes)
but I usually whip out the trauma staff to set up kills for the force sword special

i mean more significantly the best buff u can get on devil claw is 40% damage from rampage and 200% cleave from sweeping but just slaughterer by itself is 75% damage and 75% cleave
if u stack up headtaker and run punishment on zealot
u can literally shield break 10 bulwarks

smh force sword needs to push-attack a bulwark from the front 2-3 times to guardbreak them

u can do it on damnation if ur skilled enough at not dying (the trick is to stop ur hp hitting zero )
if u just do that u will have no problem

Its worse on the chain weapons, although it is probably the one thing Obese Megalodon will 'fix' to nerf us
For chains, its only one attack afterwards, for FS, its 5 seconds
you proc it once and the next 5 seconds you get to just sorta one shot everything
5 seconds of 100% crit on all attacks
including the special again

honestly it depends on who they want to run how impactful blessings are
The weapons have crazy stagger without blessing so it kinda both
but also the bad blessings are still shit for it
