I know there are some Psyker builds that say "Use Auto Lazer Gun for Brain Burst spam" but Psyker not using ammo is one of it's massive hidden perks. It buffs every non Psyker on the team by you being ammo less. Also yeah if you're gonna use a gun just go Vet.

once you get to level 30, you'll see 300-340 rank grey-tier stuff. blue tier usually in around 400, give or take. Contracts rewards will sometimes show an orange rank in the 460-494 range (never seen anything higher than 494 before)

As soon as you get to level 15, try taking it with the top slot perk in the third feat slot.
That one lets you get tons of warp charges for free and it'll let you regen toughness non-stop.

you should just talk in base stats ratings from perks and blessings are pretty meaningless

If you run Zealot, you can mix chainsword with the Mk VIII gun, which is really powerful.

instead of just the thunder hammer + flamer. by the time you do damnation pretty much everyone knows how to handle mobs, which makes the flamer less valuable.

The perks and blessings are modifiers to the weapon's properties, higher "rating" perks and blessings are just higher rolled tiers of said perks and blessings. It's just to show that the perks/blessings are of a higher tier. For example if a perk/blessing says it does 15% and gives 40 rating then the same exact perk/blessing that gives 25% will have a 50, 60, or whatever rating instead to indicate the tier of that perk/blessing. This doesn't affect your overall character like it did in Vermintide, it specifically only affects the properties on the weapon it's specifically referencing.
