Best spot is likely the start of mercantile between the first and second walls you use a detonation charge to breach, there's a kitchen / cafeteria area where the game just endlessly spawns hordes until you breach that second wall

Yeah that's the problem I'm thinking about. Haven't seen an idea I'm fully aligned with, small multiplicative damage bump + weapon sauce is enticing and it adds some customizability to a weapon. The problem is even a small bump could encourage sacrificing weapon feel for that damage bump.
Like if someone takes a weapon and swaps it to basic combos, seeing a 20-25% damage difference might produce the wrong effect. I'm tempted to only bake a damage difference into the combos themselves but then its an info obfuscation issue.
