The ideal from the devs is making weapons balanced yes, but from a player's perspective the biggest crime is a weapon you have no reason to use. And not just practical use, whether you can actually enjoy the weapon and design too is important. Games being games if you can carry your weight with it (currently true with most if not all weapons given a thought out build) then it's just gotta be fun, which is subjective. That decides the totem pole of weapons for someone.

Yeah but is it a fun weapon? I personally find it quite fun, parries are goated. Therefore, if a build can accept it, I will run it. And there are def builds that can run it. I come from an angle that's a bit different though, I don't know if it's my playtime or just my brain but no weapon nor combo is particularly difficult to use, like I learn the combos for 5 minutes and it's second nature afterwards. May play a part? As if there's a case where enemies take longer to kill compared to something else the only cost is time, which usually doesn't amount to anything in the current balance environment outside of like "I'm gonna use a weapon in a usecase that's awful for it and it takes 90 seconds to clear a mixed horde" to which the build needs to adjust.
