speed running is more knowledge check focused. you need to have pretty tight map knowledge as well as tech knowledge in order to pull stuff off properly. this does not mean it does not require skill but you can mitigate a chunk of it by good map/entity cap utilization. like what cole said you need a specific set of maps and a good speedrun team/duo/good skills if you're going solo

- getting gooder
- getting a premade
2a) if you don't have one, take note of which players are actually decent and just add them to make a premade later

You were pushed into a dead end because there were a lot of elites in front if you, but there was another route you coulda taken that would allow you to loop around and continue having room to move and kite, thats where it went wrong and its something you can look out for in the future
Majority of cases you can find some small thing that helps you improve your moment to moment gameplay that just massively helps in havoc

yeah map knowledge can trump skill in ~50% of kiting cases. if you know where to move and how to shimmy out you can kite out a lot better. learn kite paths learn paths to guarantee revives off totem etc etc. i cannot emphasize enough how good it is to be super knowledgeable in the game
