It's a huge struggle at first but once you have your main rooms like workshop/lab/freezer established its a lot more chill

You just gotta put out an agrihand, +1 lifter and constructoid, and 2 militors with your initial subcores you start with and then you can focus mainly on research, and making enough clothes and weapons to get by til you can make fabricors

Fabricor unlock is where it really opens up

It's been forever since I did it vanilla but just set up several autocannons and use a couple militors to pull agro, emp grenades on your main pawn does well to help lock it down

A mortar is also a valid strat you just have to be at a distance you can still control your mechs

I don't know if it's this class but I'm struggling to find a build that works for me. Tried a chargelot, martyr, hammer, stealth knife, fatmangus (can't make the block cancel work for some reason 😄 ) but I got nothing. Hammer feels slow. Stealth feels clunky somehow. Chargelot with a relic blade was the closest to something reasonable but felt squishy. Suggestions? I think I'd like something with Relic Blade Mk II as that one seems easier to use for me. And then for ranged probably either a flamer or bolt pistol or revolver.

Can't make the block cancel work as mentioned. Keeps doing the heavy side to side. Only if I deliberately sprint for a while and see the blade ready to stab

For the block cancel tech, you need to hold sprint, tap block once while continuing to hold sprint, then start winding up a heavy as your blade begins to move down toward the thrust position
It does take some practice but thats what the psyk is for

Charge zealot is the most universally applicable so you could probably just use that and rotate through weapons you haven't tried, like tactical axe, crusher, combat axe, etc

Tac axe is one of my favorites across all the classes

And crusher is always refreshing

Crusher works with everything, but piety requires the most "i know what this weapon does"

The push attack specifically has insanely high finesse, which scales well off of the crits

But if you arent taking advantage of those then piety will be strictly worse

Your other two options are just marty for the higher power bumps, and IJ for constant moderate buffs and the dodge buffs it gives but never says it does that helps lower mobility weapons

(Thats also why ij is taken for fatmangus, low point and path investment for big buffs for the cost and higher mobility)
