It’s good because overpressure + blaze away gives a lot of global strength which make burn DOT better, and the weapon can rapidly build up burn DOT stacks on huge groups of enemies

The crit blessing actually doesn’t matter that much for it, you’ll just end up wasting more ammo than you need

Its good because the flames don't stop when they hit an enemy, they keep going and hit everyone behind them too, so the potency scales higher the more enemies there are
Since its a dot weapon too, dots have really high total damage and its hitting every enemy within reach with that, which makes it more noticeably effective when they have way more health

This is also the basis for why the psyker fire staff is so strong, it has all this plus more
