then it gives you +20% damage per stagger instances having been applied, up to 7 times (which is +140%)
however this damage bonus only works while the target is in a staggered state
in other words, if u have tools that can stagger, no respite can potentially be huge dmg bonus
but most weapons that have access to no respite actually aren't good at stagger, at least not by themselves, so a lot of the time the blessing is wasted without ability/blitz/teammate to set u up
the best application of no respite by far is on combat shotgun (where it's good for getting some 2-shot breakpoint on reaper and chunking monsters) since they actually have extremely high stagger

No, most you can do is anoint in blood + purge the unclean + blazing piety to squeeze the most damage out of flamer but it will never be your primary weapon because you lack ammo sustain
