the fact that it is more popular than it has ever been isn't necessarily a good thing. Sales/reports drastically going up is further proof of the genre trying its best to pander to everyone and make accessibility easy, they're certainly doing good at that as we can see with 10th edition. New Resin figs's quality is horrendous, art direction has gotten worse, prices continue to shoot up to the point where it's comical to buy paints/brushes from Citadel.
