And it's hard hitting moving targets and far away snipiers. If I take bolt pistol, then the knife looses it's meaning. another thing I'd recommend is get the hang of the dodge cooldown timer, if you're able to measure out your dodges in such a way that you don't run out of effective dodges that will go a long way to ensuring you won't eat unnecessary damage

Other big thing is positioning, you don't need to dodge as much if you're in a good spot that limits the angles of attack

best ranged are flamer, bolter and revolver

take flamer if your melee is bad for hordes

bolter on zealot also has a tech with the throwing knife blitz

where if you throw one during the pullout animation it shortens the anim
