Even though I've been looking at kulis guides for a while I just realized why even without much tdr/hdr, zealot feels so tanky
If zealot is dodging(ineffective or effective) he takes 50% less tdr damage, so even if I was dodging too much(I have an issue keeping track even with ui lol) and had to recover, unlike other classes I feel much less killable, and am less, meanwhile on veteran for example, even with the 50%(or 55 if you take small tdr nodes) with higher toughness, I feel way more squishier against ragers or just when out of dodges for example
Good balance also compliments this as well, since it further increases tdr but also increases health Dr since it's general damage reduction, dang

Huh interesting thing I found out, if your running martyrdom for mostly the tdr, doing 207.5 toughness and 4 wounds is actually basically the same tdr as 165 toughness with 6 wounds, unless you aren't running holy revenant, because above 4 wounds, you heal more than 1 wound bar, max being 1.75 with 7 wounds(less than 4 is less than 1 wound) which means you actually have the same tdr as 144 toughness with full stacks of martyrdom since you lose a stack after holy revenant
Obviously this doesn't even account for restoring faith though
TLDR:
207.5 toughness, 4 wounds(also blazing piety) is 32.5% tdr base(tdr aura, 3 Martydom stacks + 10% small tdr or multiplicatively with small tdr node, if using blazing piety 25% tdr instead)
165 toughness, 6 wounds is 47.5% tdr base(tdr aura, 5 Martydom stacks + 10% small tdr) but consistently it would be 40% tdr if you run holy revenant
Tdr may be higher, especially with 5 stacks than 207.5 with 3, but at 4 stacks with 165 toughness, it's actually less Effective HP than 207.5 with 3(it's the same as 144 with 5) and 207.5 with 3 is basically the same as 165 with 5 due to increased max toughness value

you could either put that back into hubris if you want, or if youre using the mk2 relic blade, the push attack speed is very nice cuz of how often that mark uses push attacks

these have some pretty involved movesets
so actually knowing them well will help way more than just knowing 2 combos then saying thats good enough
