Enemy has 100 health left... Doesn't matter how much total. You hit for 200 because number is easy that way... So you overkilled it by 100... 25% of that is... Well.. 25...so your next hit will have a flat 25 damage added to its base. So if you next hit a guy for 1000, you now hit for 1025... Useless. If you next hit for 20, you now hit for 45... More than double

Since most of us hit for roughly the same amount on average, it should average to 25% of your overkill dmg

The stupid part is that you can uber-overkill tiny things, and carry over A TON of extra grunt into hitting important targets next

Tldr, it's good, take it on melee builds pretty much every time
