There was a time not that long ago that I'd expect to struggle if I saw non-shout veteran join the lobby. Since the rework everyone can pull their own weight. Zealot can be improved here and there still, but it's far from useless or a drag on the team.

you cant apply more than 2 debuffs on the boss
if the boss inflicts ailments on the party and not everyone is afflicted, you lose
if you bring him below a specific threshold before he reaches a specific point in his attack loop for the first time but not below a second threshold, he'll heal to full
