I went to fight a boss way above my level who had an entirely unique gimmick I had to learn and change my entire build and strat for to get the reward for beating him, the run where I did took 10 minutes
Then I took that thing to use against another boss I was DRASTICALLY underleveled for which took 30 minutes and missing a dodge or parry and taking health damage meant that character was instantly dead

Health, after you lose health you can get temporary health via a means of ways depending on your starting talent. Thp is safer than toughness in the sense that it is a stronger health gate. You do not get "chipped". You just lose thp.
