Half elves by at least 5th edition are just elf lite in terms of common lifespan, which far exceed humans in terms of how aging even changes their bodies.

A human who can live to 150 years in 5th edition probably is a big deal magic user, has been utilizing magic and incorporating it into their body by some measure, has an item or whatever. If they look like they're 50 and they're pushing 90, some magic is likely at play.
