In 0-008-789.M37, having sat in the Holy In Tray for over three centuries, the missive is finally actioned; by 790.M37, following a dutifully studious assessment of Parsus Minor's location, tithe grade, and potential impact on the wider tactical and strategic front, a decision is made; the priority code is re-evaluated to Gamma Senioris, and immediately forwarded to a strategic office for ratification. Later that same year, a task force is assembled.

By 790.M37, orders have been issued to one General Xian Yar, strategic commander of the sub-sector, with orders to raise six regiments of Imperial Guard from the nearby Baolung system, to be further reinforced with Naval assets from the venerated 101st Cruiser Squadron, Battlefleet Pacificus, and the 999th Necromundan Armoured.

It should be noted at this stage that General Xian Yar died in 579.M37, pre-emptively seeking to enact this very duty. He had, on his own initiative, raised nine regiments of Baolung Heavy Infantry and counter-attacked the Ork horde, only to find that what appeared to be mere pirate raids was merely the vanguard of a full-scale Ork incursion. The orders never reach the general, nor do they reach his office; in the centuries since the original request, Xian Yar's headquarters on Upsor Primaris was one of several worlds now under the dominion of the Orks.

None of this reaches the Administratum in anything resembling a timely fashion. The Imperial Navy and Necromundan forces deploy blindly into a chaotic maelstrom of war, their heroism in the resulting two-hundred year crusade to retake the subsector being totally unknown and unrecorded by the faceless bureaucracy that deployed them. All that matters to those in theoretical command of the situation is that General Xian Yar is refusing to acknowledge his orders.

On 0-442-791.M37, with ratification from the Adeptus Arbites, Ecclesiastical and Inquisitorial representatives, General Xian Yar is declared Excommunicate Traitoris, and an order is dispatched to the Baolung Commissariat - all of whom are likewise centuries dead - to apprehend and execute the traitorous officer, and all who assist him in his defiance of Terra's writ.

These edicts reach Crusade Commander Arturial Zune, by his reckoning, in 789.M37. A seasoned commander, receiving instructions from the future is nothing new to him - nor, sadly, is the nature of this instruction. Sat in the command throne of a Capitol Imperialis overlooking the burning remains of what was once the Grand Hive of Baolung, staring dispassionately at the broken world now 'rescued' from the Orks, Zune does the only thing that he can do. He knows it is pointless, nonsensical and, frankly, a gross insult to the memory of a man who he knows by local accounts to have been a peerlessly courageous and loyal officer, but he does it anyway; he asks his Commissariat aid to confirm that General Xian Yar is dead. The Commissar confirms this. Both men swear to this effect in writing, and dispatch the missive.

Approximately ten years later, a clerk receives a parchment copy of this confirmation, and stamps it. Imperial Record is updated, and the thin, wispy man feels a small glow of contentment knowing that he has played a small part in the extermination of an enemy of Mankind. Record cf/1162-9009-8723-B (amended) is closed, compiled into a holy dossier, and handed to a Servitor for archiving. It will never be looked at again, left to rot in the depths of a record chamber vaster than any modern city, eight miles deep into the crust of Terra.
