The thunderhammer, especially at this point in the game's history, is a pretty powerful tool. The Crucis mk2 has, as you probably know by now, a very simple moveset. It's strikedown light attacks primarily can have their usefulness expressed with quick weakspot attacks as the user develops their execution with this aspect of the weapon. Gunner specialists and weaker armored elites like ragers are stellar examples of this case use. The biggest hurdle I've experienced and often mentioned by others learning to use this mark is getting used to the timing of its horizontal heavies that can be looped infinitely.

The key here, I'd say, is becoming familiar and consciously aware of the reach and commitments between each swing, leveraging the range the weapon excels in naturally when coupled with attacks into hordes' collective weakspots. Weaving in quick shoves and push attacks are where this weapon's moveset is a core way of supplementing one's output with it against hordes. Those habits informed by using the weapon also stretch into a player's fundamental play and is a good way to reinforce understanding this and applying it at every level of play and scenarios therein. And empowered special attacks as an opening (1st most possible attack) heavies aimed at weak points can one shot some of the toughest enemies. If not, usually burst a metric fuckton of health. Learning to seize those opportunities or create them takes time, with repetition being a north star towards discipline.

Much like its moveset, the narrow intent behind thammer is shared in its stats, perks and blessings. Mobility is often the safest and preferred dump stat. Thammer may not have some of the same leniency compared to weapons like combat blades, tactical axes and duelling swords, but overall sharpening of elementary movement and defense compliment the weapon. +dmg to Carapace and Unyielding coupled with the thrust and headtaker/slaughterer is a good lane to stay in.
