Immediately noticed the improvement to ttk on combos but I'm still figuring out how my damage works and what combo routes I can create for myself/adopt from others. Usually it's something [Block x 3 charge where available ideally] camo > charged heavy > light/buffered charged heavy again if they happen to not be dead by then.

It's definitely a meh thing for me only because I kind of see what they're going for. You get your weapons of choice up, your prestige and subsequent masteries can come a tad quicker. You prestige and you come in already with perks and scale sooner the more you play. The more you play, the more surplus mastery thingies you get which can be converted into currency for talents and other stuff.

Whole point feels like it's there to reward dedicated play. Probably better to take a class and weapon spread and bring all of the weapons up to their highest tier/perks and spin the whole thing again and again.

Very good for engagement (not just throwing it around for hate even if I don't like those models) for live service. Plenty of other games have that sort of cyclical progression loop in mind.
