Main thing with that gun is to make sure you use it the way you put it in it own lane. The setup that others mentioned are well within that. You want to use it to beam down things that it can kill (weak specialists, weaker elites in their flak weakspot, maybe a monster's face if you spare it/want to.
Blaze away is going to reward your continuous fire as your base of dps with it. Depending on the other blessing: you can use pinning fire to give yourself a safe bet for increasing your dps in the moment, inspiring barrage as a way to turn it into an on-demand toughness "battery" for yourself (basically a self-healing machine pistol), and cavalcade (+crit% on continuous fire) as an easy choice for a crit spinner in blazing piety builds (the crit keystone on the bottom left).
Leverage your movement to set up shots and tyt getting used to being able to know your damage as a way of knowing how much shooting is enough. Conservation of ammo is what you make it, but don't be afraid to allow yourself to learn with more liberal use. If you take inspiring barrage for example, emergency magdumping becomes very valuable due to the gun's reliable suppression, making it a somewhat safer in the moment toughness regenerator as I mentioned before. Just remember that your mobility as this style of zealot is a huge source of your defensive capabilities. Manage your positioning so that you don't put yourself in too many situations where you get surrounded as even shroudfield won't save you if you panic stealth while being totally swarmed by dudes blocking your path. Use dodging, sliding, sprinting after making pockets in denser crowds if you end up overextending. Teammates can help you out, but don't always assume everyone is playing passively in sync. Literally watch your back and try to remember what's behind it.
Gun is solid up to aurics easily in my experience so you got a lot to work with. Enjoy learning if you wanna go that route.

People just like the feel and it's fun as hell. I got my bias towards stealth, high mobility and finesse antics in tide games but the actual flow is pretty neat and rewards purposeful speedy play in a satisfying way. Also there's some guide for it that has constantly received updates on games lantern so at the very least for NA and maybe EU players, that guide is just reliably there for the autopistol + combat blade combo. Not a shabby build either tbh at least back then. Haven't looked at it in a long time.
