Yes and no. There's a lot of loud and quiet racist shit but that requires a level of consciousness that is often resisted in favor of either feeling good or doubling down on being a fuckhead.

When it isn't more functionally prejudiced, it's often just...extremely narrow. As in, trends of "the same X" trope of black person is what persistently dominates eras of video game. I'd say it's getting better because enough has changed to at the very least allow for the people who actually exist as that to make their own shit and get it out there in the ether.

There's still a guaranteed animosity because none of the things informing it are down to some atomized, singular point of failure, but a sustained attitude with a global history.

While martial arts is a universal thing for humans across all cultural lines, this particular situation has those lived in connections.

From that point on in hip-hop, Wu Tang Clan would pop up and further cement and enrich the relationship that Black and Asian art have had especially in 20th century in terms of foundations of media tropes.

Blaxploitation films and kung-fu cinema share deeply similar narrative conventions prior to a media trend shift that produced less stories about people's resistances against oppressive elements of global societies and more copaganda style action films. The latter in this case would become the bigger perpetuating force due to media industry standards and the relationship that media corporations have with media control via state enforcement.
