Prior to the update the only things giving FotF value over Shroudfield were cases where ADMs were really low due to FotF having rending, the toughness gen, and the lingering attack speed as the main ones. Also point econ, different movement, aggro stuff, yadda yadda.
With the current patch you get the same rending now, so even with just finesse hits Shroudfield is better for single target. Toughness gen is better, there's a fairly decent lingering effect now if used right (esp with Unseen), cooldown stuff is roughly similar. It basically had a bit of powercreep put into it. Also Shroudfield has basically equivalent pathing costs with FotF, which was the main reason it wasn't taken prior.

A lot of it is because the game doesn't explain many mechanics and keywords too. That or, in the mortis trials, a cavalcade autopistol with a 5% crit perk with the death dealer spec with the +25 crit from piety... Just never stop shooting(This might be the arby, but, it works roughly the same on zealot with that setup)
It's not extremely practical, but, it's very amusing
If you have inspiring barrage with cavalcade it is kinda practical cause you're getting a constant stream of 20% toughness regenerated per tic <.<
Tho on zealot/arby you do gotta reload once you drop below 75% mag capacity... on oggy you just don't stop shooting until you run out of ammo cause of charmed reload on the twin linked stubbers
