I'd say this at the very least: the oppression one may be escaping in one way cannot be seen as escaping oppression in other ways. How it manifests can be very similar and like I said before, the relationships of these systems has an international quality to them. Domestically, there's all kinds of nuance that has to be understood least one run the risk of becoming comfortable with a less intense situation (for themselves). People can even unconsciously throw themselves into even worse circumstances as well.

I don't blame people for wanting to leave that place. It's a genuinely violent and I'd say deeply ruthless country with enough amenities and distractions to make it easier for some to think that things are fine.

Just be as mindful as you can about your options. Don't assume that the problems within other parts of the world don't share similarity or are somehow not connected where relevant. Keep yourself and others as safe as you can during that transition if you get to that point and honestly.
