But that's coming from a very weak educational foundation that likely isn't inspiring critically conscious education with an emphasis on decolonized curriculum, transparent and sincere investigation into politics to have a functional grasp on said topic, having a sincerely nurtured and developed places for learning and expression to accommodate and assist in having a reality that exists in direct contrast.

That's not to say that it doesn't exist, but rather that it's often punished and/or co-opted, with the purpose of those goals and actions being criminalized or mocked and systemically made to be extremely difficult and even dangerous to bring about within people's lifetimes. Even the way the bastards financed themselves to start their murder sprees by the time they actually seized full power utilized the same language while actively stripping people of labor rights yk?

In the case of America, the country has a very serious problem with maintaining a steady denial of itself and what it is. No empire can afford to be honest about itself because that defeats the purpose. But the foundations needed for the kind of fascism on display in america have been there and are regularly cycled but just not called fascist.
