I think it's mostly a kneejerk reaction to the crit build being slightly worse. Like oh noo 2s more per FotF ult and less damage from Duelist alone 
. But you take a gander at peak Zealot performance and you start noticing how easy it is to max out attack speed and do like +40-60% more damage than before with the new pathing/talents.
Plus the health changes nerf all classes, not just Zealot.

Yeah idk why Pious was given 100% CDR and has such a free proc condition. I think they underestimate how easy weakspot hits are for proc conditions, the backstab component is next to useless and it's an easier proc condition than being low health.

To make it as simple as possible, an attack has their base damage and then its finesse multiplier (this sets the critical weakspot hit damage). Then normal weakspot and critical hits use a fraction of the full finesse multiplier, default is 60%.
Backstabs by default to not deal extra damage. Though the knife does, 20% more iirc. Usually it's just reserved for talents.
To find both you can just look ingame, the inspect menu is flawed but it'll show you first target damage for each light/heavy attack, backstab talents tell you what they do.

Depends. Mk XV is the better of the two (generally), combos are self-explanatory. Heavy special revs will do great single target and Unyielding damage. Mk III has cooler combos but got powercrept a bit. Crowds like H1 L2 L3 block cancel/special attack, single target usually just is whatever combination of L1, H1, H2, and special revs fit the target. Blessings are Rampage + Savage/Wrath or Shred + Savage/Wrath/Perfect Strike depending on build.

yeah. It gives 4x cleave (other two are 3x) and ignores armor stop, both on crit. You can already cleave through multiple maulers with cleave buffs up normally, but if you hit carapace armor stop kicks in and your swing will stop early. With Maulers you don't want to hit the head unless you have rending up on FotF, so it works nicely for a crit build.

PA H1 L2 L3 is worse than H1 L2 L3 BC/SA. It sounds weird but H1 L2 L3 BC/SA is optimized for chain timings, PA > H1 has a horrible init timing for H1, L3 has crazy chaining for block and special attack. Also is flexible as BC leads to better crowd damage and SA exploits the higher first targets damage on the SA H1 to be better for higher density armored crowds.
