To my knowledge there isn't much shifting there. Chainsword's flagship characteristic is the crowd damage, Flak + Maniac works for that. Blessings are Savage/Wrath (based on difficulty, Mk XIIIg specifically uses Wrath) + Rampage/Shred (based on build).

The goal was to keep stuff about the same design-wise, so ultimately the preferred blessings are the same. Perks though as with the rework are BP dependent and I haven't worked out all edge cases yet.

(And if players can make other builds work - even if it's harder, but still do-able... maybe that means there's more than 1 build)

ragers - move fast, attack fast, durable
maulers - normal movement and attack, heavy armor on their weakpoint, and an overhead attack that breaks guard
crushers - slow movement and attack, heavy armor all over, and an overhead attack that breaks guard and will just kill you lmao

Oh you def could, even in H40. Some unorthodox ones even worked better in havoc, particularly FiF Martyr and Agri Railgun due to enemy density. The build people ran offered the safest general setup, giving a lot of TDR, especially when BP was taken. Could forgo a lot of it though for different pathing for certain build concepts.

I read somewhere that, out of all the enemies, Maulers are the #1 cause of player deaths (or something like that, I don't really remember). Because they blend in to other enemies, they can appear out of nowhere, and just wipe you out with 1 hit

so they have defense and offense that can catch you if you dont see them in the crowd

Maulers seem as good a candidate as any. It's definitely either them or ragers as stated.
Low diff pubbies absolutely cannot dodge the overhead or flurry

Maulers are more forgiving, even when the overhead connects it won't one shot from full health and toughness, plus their heads and voiceline spamming make them easy to spot imo

Now that you say this - I agree. I would also bet that Ragers caused more deaths than Maulers. I struggle more with Ragers - if I have a horde of Ragers on me, I just ran back to my teammates so that they can help kill the Ragers for me heh
