Dodge sliding isn't too hard, you just have to get the timing down, and theres a smooth feel to it once you get used to it. I have my slide/crouch on c, makes it easy imo because your fingers are all right around that area mostly.

You can still do it, little more difficult. But the basic timing is the main thing, if you can get the slide immediately after the dodge it should work

If you're not quite confident in harder attempts at sniping things, you can honestly just weave it in during combos for enemies out of your weapon's reach, but close enough to land a headshot at closer ranges. Weaving that in between enemies you can melee kill to replenish them keeps you topped off with more aggressive play as necessary.
