iirc back in 2022 around when they removed malice mode. Lot of legacy features were removed or reworked at the time. Also changed certain item progressions (big one was The Sponge) to instead be based on just farming a rare drop or doing a basic post-boss recipe rather than working through a large crafting recipe over the course of several bosses. That along with the general decreases to difficulty made the experience feel less satisfying while taking longer to go through. Thankfully, Infernum exists.

I do a blazing piety build for mine. Perks are flak and carapace. Blessings are rampage and bloodthirsty.

You gotta rev, land heavy and charge to kill your first crusher or mauler in one hit. After that, bloodthirsty will guarantee a crit on any special, so you can just chain rev/heavy attack anything and it will all die in one hit

mm, there's a bit of a mismatch with Arbites and Taxe. Taxe heavily favors finesse increases, Arbites doesn't have much. Also, Taxe is really good at applying stagger already, what makes Arbites really strong is making it really easy to get on-stagger benefits with weapons that aren't always applying that stagger. There's some benefit (mainly the on-stagger damage/rending) but it isn't as synergetic.

Arbites has a rather weak crit setup compared to other human classes and while the melee damage buffs are generally surpassing Psyker and Vet it's not surpassing Zealot still (hence why you can frequently outdamage an Arbites on Zel in melee). Arbites is tanky, but it's not terribly significant to the Taxe on Arbites discussion.

So I tried out mk3 just now. Honestly, I love it. The attacks just make sense, it all flows very well. You can really mix and match whatever sort of combo you want against a mixed horde and it wil shred just about anything with ease.

Hell, I find I don’t need to rev as much for sure. Like, it helps with more damage of course, but your attacks are surprisingly fast considering it’s a eviscerator.

One, and really the only criticism I have is I can see it struggling against big crusher patrols or bosses, like you already said.

But great recommendation. I only did one auric match with it (and it was a mild auric match) but I’m excited to see how it goes as i get more familiar with the weapon
