Statistically the Mk XV is better atm (last balance patch flubbed the numbers quite significantly). Better single target, roughly the same crowd performance. Mk III still does well with H1 L2 L3 rev/block cancel for crowds and you get the light strikedowns. Activated heavies do well for single target. Rampage + Savage Sweep/Wrath, alternatively Shred + Perfect Strike/Savage Sweep/Wrath for crit build.

its a heavy 2 handed weapon, thats to be expected
you need to manage dodges with it better than you do with lighter weapons

Depends on what chain weapon you're running. With Chainsword and Evis you usually utilize the base attacks for Ragers, then activated heavies for Crushers in that situation. Chaxe is similar but it's really good at it.
