Quick question on Relentless Strike blessing, in darktide do stacks apply to the hit that triggers them? Because in the hud you hit an enemy twice and then you "get" your first stack which to my brain means you get two unboosted hits before any bonus but it makes more sense for the +10% to apply to the second hit.

To my knowledge that isn't the intent, rather it's supposed to be at a reasonable point of balance for a non-special weapon. It's just balance has gotten out of hand for the other basic weapons (Hsword, DS, to an extent the shovels, and the axes) that it makes the fairly tasteful strengths of the Dclaw a bit lame in comparison. If Dclaw was on Arbites this wouldn't be the case anymore for specifically them.

You can actually see some of this to an extent with new weapon releases. Certain aspects of basic weapons used as a "template" to change for a new weapon. It's just that you get a bit of powercreep added when you take an already existing setup and accidently only improve upon it rather than just sidegrading it.

Real ones know that Dclaw is good, it's just a significant number of other melee weapons are better. At the very least it still has some crowd clear in it, not terribly different to the Chainsword where you get great crowd damage and a single target option on the special attack.

It scales pretty well into crowds still, it has a very distinct dynamic with flak though that usually makes it better to avoid weakspots on Dreg Bruisers and to start using the single target combo on flak elites. It's not Chainsword damage but it'll output fairly well into fodder and bruisers. As for elites it's mostly the same; small elites are 1-2 shot w/ parry/base, it's still ult/parry reliant for Crushers and Maulers, and it has good anti-rager. Good anti-boss with builds designed for it. It's like a solid B-rank weapon, decent upsides & noteworthy downsides. It's particularly nice on Vet (and historically on old FotF Zealot).
