Mk XV Evis is kinda just used for the unyielding damage. Depending on your preference in melee weapons and what they should accomplish, I recommend also trying Hsword, Combat Axe, and the other two chain weapons. Also try out the Mk III Evis if you want better crowd performance.

Mk IV is a stellar anti-rager weapon so that's a fair combo, but it struggles a bit with Unyielding. Cara lets you pretty easily 1 shot Crushers but usually you want to use the base rev attacks/rev lights in denser Crusher/Mauler crowds. I usually do unyielding/cara when running Martyr or IJ, in Auric it 2 shots both ragers with keystone/headtaker buffs up. Flak can be argued for bruiser crowds.
