Either way with mk2, push attack is a good option for starting crowd controll combos as it's a wide sweep that chains into a heavy horizontal.(if I'm remembering correctly and for the other the push is a good snipe in the middle of a hoard as it's a stab.

Lights on the two are mostly single target and I think light 1 combos into heavy 1 for good armor damage. Light spam is fine for crowd controll on the other mark, just be wary of light 3 being a stab, If I remember correctly it's l1-l2-whatever the heavy is for hoard clear. (Haven't used it in a bit so I might be shaky on the deets)

Some weapons will oneshot him outright from the front, like a properly build mk9 heavy sword h1 with +maniac damage will kill a mutant from the front.

The issue is, you have to oneshot the mutant without it grabbing you, and that timing is a little tricky.

Also, the mutant has to be targeting you.

Can't be targeting a teammate as far as I'm aware.
