I mean... it was that or the pure nail which had a +80% poison modifier when I didn't have a way to poison a boss(I am doing the boss rush mode rn)
The nail might do more non-crit damage, but, the whip shoots an arrow in front AND does +60% to a bleeding enemy(which I got the mutation which makes my melee cause bleed)... oh and the crit damage for velmont's whip is a lot higher for when I do get the crits(which are boosted by the +60% on a bleeding enemy) :3
I am also really bad at using the nails upwards and downwards swings for the crits... I haven't practiced doing it so I mostly just end up attack spamming >.>'

The reason I say blaze away is that it stacks up to 40% power, instead of pinning fire which only stacks up to 25%(but, it stacks by stagger instead of mag % spent in 1 shooting)
If you are going to not fire it for half a mag a lot, then pinning fire is the way

Inspiring Barrage is funny sometimes since it's one of those blessings you can use to enable really fucked builds. Was kinda considerable on Ogryn back before the rework since you could go full damage and use ranged and melee for toughness. On Zealot though you can do some weird Martyrdom setups but it just allows you to dodge the "I breathe toughness generation" talents.

Well that. The other issue I find with it is that while it can take out crushers and the like, it just takes…time. Valuable time. It’s certainly a high skill ceiling weapon. I can usually take out a crusher in about 4 block stabs/heavy attacks to the head.
I just find because it can take so long to bring down those bigger enemies, it allows many of them too much time to be throwing damage at the group.
