All I was saying is that they identified the problem and didn't apply the appropriate solution. A developer made the change. They didn't even address the tax node issue in the post. The changes would be relatively simple compared to other reworks. Whether a dev does or doesn't need to apply these changes is irrelevant, it fundamentally changing the tree structure to the point you would need to rework the whole or a significant portion of the tree I'm not convinced is either necessary or correct, and pointing out that changing one aspect of the whole tree being changed by making a node optional, not even removing it, "changes the structure of the tree" so significantly, you never clarified if this change was significant just insisted that it changed the tree, that it couldn't be done seems either facetious or bad faith. Lots of things affect the tree, whether it's significant enough that it can't be done, or the fact that it's being done means a rework must also be done, is another point entirely, which I would say isn't true (looking to the other class talent shuffles that you identified as being "just moving some talents around" and not significant enough to the tree to be put in the same context as being a rework)
