I’ve gotten my new zealot to 30 and am trying to get better with knife on damnation. And man, it’s such a fickle weapon. Sometimes I’ll kill a crusher with 4 backstabs, other times it takes like 7-8

I also find half the issue with it is just being able to land all your attacks. You’re so damn fast/attack so quick that it’s easy to miss when you’re moving around so much dodging! But it’s still fun

I pretty much exclusively run the revolver. I pair it with the mk 9 heavy blade, or more recently the relic blade to act as all around good melees.

Relic I find is my all rounder. But I run that on my main zealot, Helena. Relic blade is just fucking bad ass. It can handle any and all situations

That said, HS Mk 7 is my personal fav. I know everyone says 9 is superior, but I dunno. Something about 7’s horizontal slash on the charge is just too good to pass up

They are indeed great. You can charge poke a crushers head for a one shot everytime.

yeah because heavy sword is kinda better then the relic at everything else but it cant deal with crushers and maulers very well.

I forget as well. But heavy sword runs for me is like a flex run….takes skill to use it well. It’s a methodical weapon.

But like Narii said, it’s ass vs crushers. I always bring the bolted with it, spray a salvo to weaken a patrol, then charge with the HS. I find the bolter softens them enough so your sword can finish them off in a couple hits.

For me, and this is prob a skill issue, but I find the combat knife is sort of in a weird spot like that too, only better. I have moments where I just tear through any and everything with it. And then other moments when I feel like a bee stinging a rhino against things. Fuck, even dreg gunners Soemtimes take like 4 heavy shots to kill

I personally dont use knife, but thats because everybody at high level uses knife and it gets boring to see everyone use knife

Yeah, I find a good melee weapon should be flexible enough to handle most threats. Doesn’t need to be perfect, but at the very least hordes is a must for me.

just because you are goated at the game doesnt mean the weapon is good. you can do the same shit with a hammer and probably deal better with most threats

For me, I don’t like any weapon I have to keep pressing a button over and over to get its special attacks.

I think it should be ran like the relic blade. Press it, you have it on for a bit and then it powers off.

Except maybe Thammer, which would be OP as fuck if you could jsut leave it on.
