where ricocheted shots had a small chance to go straight back towards you

The Eruptor's shrapnel could ricochet, and was the same shrapnel used by the Frag Grenade

which did something like...100 damage?

And the Shrapnel is usually a short lived projectile that goes at stupid high velocities

So what'd happen is you'd shoot at an armored target (naturally since the Eruptor did very good single target damage) and all of the Shrapnel would also go into them, some at harsh enough angles to ricochet

Shrapnel would then ricochet, and instead of swiftly despawning or going into the dirt would redirect straight at you often headshotting you

Which instantly killed you
