Replace overload with a different blessing, I'd call it "Discharge." It does the same thing, but when you turn off your sword/forced into lockout, it does what it does now, and its magnitude is dependent on the % of heat you have.

You cant just stagger clumps of large enemies w ur nigh inf cleave life obliterating gem shattering heavies like ogryn (or spam lights, which on some weapons is simply more effective w oggy)
Or scream and apply 20 morbillion stacks of soulmold on ur enemies
U can cheese ur way out of engagements w a handful of weapons to avoid being punished for poor positioning and dodge management with the knife or ds
DS's can stagger everything but bosses mid attack on a weakspot special hit

So yah just play and learn positioning/dodge management the ol fashioned way

U can training wheels it w IJ and something like a rashad (combat axe 3)
Lots of dodges, IJ increases dodge distance and reduces the dodge reset cooldown timer so u can dodge more and better
Id recommend using the hs 9 if u want to learn
Lots of dodges, very strong against chaff, struggles against cara and unyielding (actual weaknesses)
Rashad, DS, and knife might teach bad habits
Rashad is the hs but good at everything, DS and Knife have insane dodges by default, deal insane single target damage, and have their own get out of jail free cards
