I'm only on heat 3, right now, with the shield. I just got the zeus aspect to level 2 and am using it for the 1st time. I got zeus on it as well, and it is absolutely slaying shit. From my perspective I will say hades 2 is worth it, I definitely loved every single weapon besides 1 in hades 2, and the melee weapons are so much fun for me in it. They are pretty fun in this, but, they haven't grasped me as fast as the hades 2 weapons did. The bow and spear were the 1st 2 weapons that caught my attention in hades 1 >.>

Lots of enemies in melee:

• Dodge frequently, but don't spam it so you won't be out of effective dodges right when you need them. Get the dodge counter mod if you can/want to.
• Know how many enemies your weapon will stagger. If there are more than that, make use of dodge and shove to keep yourself safe. Block as insurance if you aren't swinging.
• If there are elites mixed in, consider using your ult to stagger the crowd, or dodging back to use a ranged weapon to kill an elite or three before you get back into melee, or using a grenade if you've taken those.
• Use terrain to prevent enemies from surrounding you (e.g. keep your side to a wall) and try to use cover to stop ranged enemies from shooting at you while you're stuck in melee

Rashad Combat Axe is one of the best melee weapons all around and very easy to use. However, it depends on Brutal Momentum for horde clear, which in turn needs you to be able to kill your target with one headshot from a light or push attack. While you're leveling, depending on your weapon and the difficulty level, etc. it might not be able to do that

I'm trying out the aspect of hades on the spear, for my no heat run(to get the last reward from beating hades with the spear(I want that stupid titan blood damnit)) and I have gotten 2 spin attack hammers so far this run... 1 that increases the radius and increases the damage by 125% and 1 that makes it charge faster and makes me recover faster from the spin attack... this is the most I've ever used the spin attack with the spear, tbh, since I mostly just attack spam, dash attack spam, or special spam with the spear... :\

I just got this one, tho, and I got the increased aoe one(the 2nd one I posted) earlier in a run which has been helping me proc the thing where they take extra damage from my attack or special after a spin attack... at least... Not sure how the spin attack normally is, but, I have been making use of it, a decent bit, so far this run... So far I've only lost 1 death defy to something stupid, but, I managed to buy it back... It feels weird making use of the attacks I don't normally use, with a weapon.

The spin attack makes me feel static and immobile(and therefore vulnerable) so I haven't used it, much, in any serious capacity... especially since this game you want to stay mobile or you tend to get screwed over quite a lot... like in darktide, actually <.<

Roomwide spin attack... ftw? I sometimes just barely don't fully charge it and I get like 2/3rds that area, but, still for the spin to made my attack and special do 30% more damage, it is fairly handy having such a large spin attack available, especially when doing these rooms in the last area before you fight hades... :3

Well depends on your melee weapon, tbh. For knife/dueling sword/thammer the flamer is an amazing choice for covering the weaknesses of those weapons, otherwise for something like the chainsword/heavy sword a bolter/revolver is good for covering the armor weakness of the melee weapon...

If you're using the relic blade then I think Bolter is the go-to choice for a ranged weapon, from what I've heard anyway

Generally you want your gun to compliment your melee weapon, no matter if you are going a primarily melee or ranged build.

eviscerator? Pretty much any ranged will do, since the eviscerator is a general purpose weapon... so something like the bolter/braced autogun/revolver/infantry autogun/bolt pistol would do well with it. It depends what you want your ranged to fill: Armor damage(/crusher or bulwark melting)? Revolver/Bolter(for a better crusher/bulwark melting capabilities). Elite/special sniping? Revolver/bolt pistol. Elite killing capabilities? Revolver/braced autogun/bolt pistol/infantry autogun. Monster killing? Bolter/Flamer.

U have throwing knives so it’s nowhere as bad overall, especially if you’re in melee most of the time

If you want a gun specifically for melting trappers/dreg ragers then the autopistol is one of the best go-tos for it, specifically. It also will stagger a trapper out of shooting while killing them, on top of melting maniac armored enemies like dreg ragers/scab flamers... Outside of specifically using it for trappers/maniac enemies and for toughnes generation(with inspiring barrage) it is pretty mid and I wouldn't recommend using the autopistol until it gets the buffs that it's going to get on march 25th...

The infantry autogun is generally a better version of the autopistol, aside from how user friendly the autopistol is to shoot in comparison... at least until maybe the 25th of march, where the autopistol might be at least okay, instead of mid(when used perfectly)
