I vaguely remember that terrain hole, but there really was a problem for a while in VT2 where you could just randomly fucking die. Turned out to be IIRC some kind of lag+desync issue where you jumped down a modest ledge and the game suddenly woke up a minute later and thought you had fallen a much longer distance

What sparked the balance issue in the first place is the fact as usual YOUTUBERS speak about SOLO balance, when the game is a cooperative experience, which impulsed people to see performance solo and never as a team, as such weapons that shine in teams were considered unviable

We are currently at a point that if a weapon can't mostly solo a drop it's considered MEDIOCRE

EoF replaced Chargers at high difficulty with tougher Charger Behemoths, which required 2 hits from AT weapons to kill (unless you hit the little-known upper spine hitbox).

Buffdivers brought Behemoths back to the previous Charger level of only needing one AT headshot (or just stick them with the newly buffed Thermite, etc.)

The real issue is the master strikes in kc d 1; they can happen from any attack side are chance based

Most blocks/hits are chance based - and it generally will be a war of attrition with enemies that have a high or higher warfare skill than your Henry

If you have lower agility or strength than ur wpn allows it'll be slower and be blocked constantly

Try using heavy weapons, like maces or axes, which tire enemies out more and can damage shields

In kc d 2 master strikes are only performed by high level enemies and only if you attack from the opposite side of their guard

It makes them avoidable and only capable of happening due to player error

Makes combat more complicated and fun; kc d 2 is better pookling

Enemies run out of stamina as well, you can tell theyre out of stam if they block and groan

In kc d 1 you take damage when ur out of stamina and are hit, so they should take damage when they block out of stamina but idr much about kc d 1 combat other than it's cumbersome
