Smaul also has the fun factor because the movesets are pretty involved. People should use them more tbh

• Worse single target dps than dueling sword
• No mobility
• Decent horde clear, nothing spectacular but better than ds and even smaul
• Meh fashion/model, needs to be 2 handed
• Heavy version is unusuable in havoc due to lights getting stuck on trash and sped up attack speed, requiring to resort to push attacks often which destroy your stam
• Not usable in any other class due to a lack of attack speed, chaxe really wants it
• It also suffers from the odd low maniac damage curse if you don't use the special activation, which you REALLY don't wanna use on mass maniac

I've seen people randomly refer to loner prevention as if that explained anything. the naming is coincidental, the loner aura itself is set up as a special rule called zealot_always_at_least_one_coherency and is called to apply a coherency buff stack override for toughness regen. logically speaking, all those three systems are meant to sanction specific player behavior and not to reward it (not spawning specials with loner aura would be a positive effect).

Yeah you don't really need rampage, funnily enough. Cranial gives you plenty of damage for a blessing and wrath gives you much needed cleave. Rampage actually makes you do too much damage to get scourge value.

bot hcharges together give you as much toughness back as book does
it dodges ranged attacks
while you're moving you're immune to poxbursters so you can "parry" them in bad situations
its amazing for repositioning
you can cheese revives with it by stunning nearby melee enemies
it's a rager shut-off button that actually kills them
it gives you armor piercing (rending)
it gives you attack speed that you can have high uptime on
it has much better cooldow nefficiency
it gap closes safely
it enables alot of oneshots (relic blade with this dash oneshots crushers with dashing thrust)

You get no buffs directly from mastery. Higher mastery unlocks more blessing levels, which you put on weapons to buff them

All weapons have their own lists of blessings. They don't carry over between weapons, even with identical blessings. You can put 2 blessings on a weapon, as long as the weapon is upgraded to gold and you have the blessings unlocked

Mastery also let's you upgrade your weapons base stats more and more

I hope endgame has some variety with status ailments on weapons, like back during safi meta.
Would be neat to switch around status ailments after a status becomes ineffective during a hunt

The most effective status is dead, everything is weak to being stabbed 400 times
