Stalker has a much better open world whereas the Metro games (from what I played) are usually a degree of open but still mostly linear. You’ll have better cutscenes and set piece moments from Metro, but better “wandering” gameplay with Stalker where shit just happens and you get a neat story to tell friends.

Metro also enjoyed enough success (even though OG 2033 ran like HOT PISS) that they got were pumping out a game every 1-3 years since 2011, while GSC (Stalker devs) haven’t put anything out in like 15 years due to development hell and uhh…foreign invasion. Still a gr8 game, both are awesome

Don’t get a 3060. It’s the weaker model of each generation. My buddy has one right now and his experience in our games is getting worse and worse as things like MHW come out and he doesn’t get access to Frame Generation (40 series and up only)

a) the processor you're buying wasn't operated before the patch
b) the people you're buying it from didn't operate/test the CPU before the patch
c) that the patch is even installed before you boot it
(intel has admitted that the issue is baked into the CPU and any that were damaged by the build before this patch cannot be repaired and the issue will persist, albeit more slowly)
d) you're still going to be effectively underutilizing your CPU to avoid perpetuating this issue instead of just getting a CPU you can actually fully use (this is even with the patch)

if you're buying the processor right out of a box and you have your own motherboard that you're updating for BIOS then it's all in your hands and you can be certain. otherwise there's no way to know if you just picked up a processor that's going to fuck itself the moment you try to actually maximize its core output
