"Lacerate is a worse fleshtearer that requires you to avoid the knives 2.5x to 3x headshot damage multiplier for a bleed that is not actually good as you think (see attached bleed table)
Fleshtearer is viable with lots of crit chance (piety, scourge), since with scourge, 1 crit is 10 bleed (scourge is 2 bleed) on a target you already chunked to the head
And uncanny allows you to be safe and bleed a crusher pack to death since rending applies to bleed, in addition to just obliterating their health with 100% rending heavy headshots
This is also on top of crits having the same multipler (both at once making you deal like 5-6x damage) as headshots so stacking crit is already great
Those multipliers are also why a riposte/precog knife can kill a boss in a few headshots due to the massive 60% finesse bonus and duelist giving 50% weakspot and crit damage, both on dodge "

I'm sorry amigo, if you can't hard carry with a staff that will make any five enemies in the game stop what they are doing and stand there for a few seconds and take damage on top of it in the time it takes you to right click, left click, and then then R. that's the definition of a player issue. The only staff that matches it in versatility is the purgatus staff. The purgatus staff just has different enemies and situations it's weak again
If i'm running surge staff I rarely get into a situation where my whole team is dead, because I have the tools that stops all the specials that suprise wipe teams. When i am in that situation pressing my F key to push/light everything around me on fire and some slash/push with my Illsi typically gives me the breathing room to go back the dogs/trappers etc under control.
What I'm getting from this is you aren't super great at melee crowd control, and that's fine a lot of people aren't, and it's a learned skill. But that's not an issue with a surge staff. It's jsut an issue that you can kind of get around with staffs like the purgatus.

Had the pleasure of playing with the Emperor's finest over 2 hours probably the most fun I've had in a while. Most of my games are pretty cool, but the ones with these guys definitely hit.
I'll die on this hill though: Unto Death/Fealty are utter trash. I spent more time trying not to activate it than me thinking it was some safety buffer. If Unto Death activated, it was because I made a mistake. And when it did, I still went down, and/or it almost never did anything - particularly because of the way corruption works in Havoc. I think I only went down once in this game and that was because a Crusher moonwalked an overhead into me and I got no HP back from Unto Death/Fealty.
In my opinion, Unto Death should never be taken unless you're going Martyrdom. And even then, its still a bad build. Zealot has too many talents that prevent you from going down to 1 HP in the first place. Also, Health is not a resource.
For Havoc specifically.. I think the best teams have 2 Zealots or 2 Psykers. Those 2 classes are just very high impact. Even a Zealot running Chastise is imo better than an Ogryn. I've just never won a game in Assignment 30+ with an Ogryn.
Run Ghost. It helps vs Reapers and mass Gunners.
Slow and steady wins the race in this mode.

If you try to use peril generating stuff directly after scriers ends, warp unbound won't work. Give it like a full second before you attempt it.
There's a mod floating around on nexus somewhere that also gives you a proper timer for it, if you want that.
