They're about to kill him when you walk in and they tell you about someone's brother that the guy killed or something, then ask you to shoot him.
The guy is honestly pants shittingly terrified and begging for his life. Objectively, he actually didn't kill the guy they said he did. However, they are still 4-5 angry armed humans in a room with you, and the entire time they're yelling at you "Well, what are you fucking scared? Do it already!"
When I walked in, I was just going to shoot the one guy out of convenience because I didn't want to fight. But the lead asshole insulted my ego, and I don't appreciate how it was seeming less and less like it was my idea to shoot the Tower guy. So I shot all of the bandits and brought the guy home instead

I run a Bow, Springfield Compact (obrez), and some loose supplies. My loadout costs like 300 hunt dollars, and I'm sitting on a stash of like 50k
If you win a match, your payout is like 1500
I exclusively play with my guys because there's no solo mode, and even if we lose every match I still hover around 50k because the few we win make back the difference
Now if you buy a shitload of stuff every single game and die, yeah you may run into money problems
But they've introduced new player features so if you have under a certain amount of money, hunters are free and such
"Legendary" hunters which are just the skinned ones (typically bought with DLC, but you can also spend in game currency) start with 3 perks that you can refund to buy whatever perks you actually want
You'll get like 20+ perk points from a successful hunt so you'll realistically wind up being able to buy anything you could want for a character after a single game
I despise wasting time so when a game like Hunt comes and makes a whole genre of game playable for me, I gotta shill it a little bit
