If it's a horde with some elites mixed in, it's your job to melee them down(unless you have plasma gun with 50 cleave lmao)

I would recommend pathing down the left side, for now, as the lower difficulties makes it much more manageable.

EWEW will keep your toughness topped off well enough because enemies aren't going to eat you alive and it's entirely passive.

Anyway, as for how to handle yourself, pick a weapon and learn the combos to the point that they're ingrained into your head.

#

You want to know what attack you're on, what attack comes next, and what attack would be best for the current situation you're in is.

You should also learn your push attacks (block, push, but hold your attack button instead of tapping), and what the push attacks chain into.

Most weapons have 4-5 dodges, the 2 handers have 3 (except relic blade, ofc).

Dodging and sliding takes 2 dodges but makes you go further. Sliding while sprinting counts as a dodge. If you need distance, turn your camera 90 degrees away from the enemy and dodge away from them while blocking.

Thems the basics, you'll learn more about how to properly approach melee as you play more.

When you get closer to level 30, pop back in and ask for a build.
